Birthday Bonanza
WHO: Daisy Johnson, Jesse Pinkman, and OTA
WHERE: Bar and Peace and Key West, FL.
WHEN: June 30th-July 3rd
WHAT: Birthday fun times
WARNINGS: None so far. Possible gross romantic times later on.
June 30th
Bar and Peace-OTA
In just a few days Daisy will be 28 years old. It's still weird for her to actually know her birthday now, and even weirder that she was a year older than she thought she was for years. Although she wouldn't actually be here on her actual birthday, Daisy had put out a post on the network if anyone wanted to come celebrate with her at the bar she worked at, Bar and Peace, she would be there later in the day. Of course she'd have to be careful with how much she drank, as she was working.
July 1st-3rd
Key West
When Jesse had come to her house that morning, Daisy had been expecting just a days drive down to the beaches in the Key West. What she was not expecting was to be surprised with a three days stay on a private resort that they had to get to by boat. Once they were checked into their room, Daisy immediately fell back onto the bed. It had been a long drive down, even if she hadn't been the one driving.
"Okay. I know you said you were going to spoil me, but, this is seriously ridiculous."

It's a little more than just a bungalow, given that it's on a luxury resort and costs a thousand dollars a night.

"We had to take a boat just to get here. Are you kidding me?" No, he's not. Obviously. She doesn't even want to know how much this all cost, but more than she was actually worth.
It takes a bit of effort, but she does push herself up enough to give him a quick kiss.
"Don't think I didn't notice the no cell phone signs either."

"Well, as entertaining as you are, I do want to take pictures."

"You can't buy off everyone, Jesse. But, you're definitely getting there with me."
Realizing she hadn't actually thanked him again, she pressed another kiss to his lips before pulling her head back to look at him.
"Thank you."

Painfully sappy and completely honest.

"I'm glad I picked a bikini I liked, I feel like I'm never going to be out of it this entire trip."

Explaining her sudden appearance at some point late in the evening, leaning on the bar with a small paper box in hand.
"Happy early birthday, Miss Daisy."
no subject
"You didn't have to get me anything, Ruby."
That doesn't stop her from reaching out to take it from her, a genuine smile on her face.
"Thank you."

The box, which has "Flour Garden" written on it in fancy script, may or may not contain a cupcake decorated for the Fourth of July.

Her face lit up even more when she found out her present was food.
"Oh my god, this is amazing. Did you read my mind?" Is it rude to eat it now? Because she's going to either way.

"Well, probably better that it isn't. But, this is really good. Thank you."
Setting it down inside the box, Daisy brushed her hands against her legs.
"You want anything?"

"Fine. It's not like I haven't seen Jessica drink on the job."
Making both their shots, Daisy slid Ruby's over to her.

"You should've told me beforehand." Says the grumpy bartender as she cleans some glasses with a rag. She'll have to come up with a gift later.
no subject
Daisy took the cleaned glasses from her and put them back where they belonged.
"Oh, uh, I won't actually before here on my birthday. ...I probably should have told you that."

"Hey." He gives a little wave as he approaches the bar. "How's it going?"
Master of words.
no subject
"Hey! Haven't seen you around here before." She's not going to mention that he looks exhausted though, and for a second she wondered why he was here until she noticed the bag in his hand. She's not going to mention it though, it's still weird for her to think people actually care enough.
"I'm great. Haven't had to deal with any drunks so far tonight." Like he had to with her...
"What can I get you?"
no subject
He sits down, visibly relieved to be off his feet, and slides the little bag across to her. When she chooses to open it, she'll find a small leather book, detailing the one hundred best bars on the American East Coast, and which drink to order at each. Tucked in the front page is a pressed daisy.
no subject
"George. You didn't have to do that." He's not the first person to surprise her today, but that didn't make it any less surprising.
no subject
He lifts up his glass, and gestures towards her bottle - toast to his admitted corniness?
no subject
Daisy picked up the bottle she had been sipping from and tapped it against his glass before taking a swig.
"Thanks."
no subject
"So, how've you been?" A very slightly pause. "How's Jesse?"
