road not taken log!
WHO: Kanaya and you!
WHERE: Around the Porter cities
WHEN: Backdated to during the plot!
WHAT: Road Not Taken Kanaya tries to make sense of the world not being quite the same as she's used to.
WARNINGS: None!
a. out with the giant daughter
Nonah, De Chima
[ The thing about having a daughter as big as a tiger, imPort housing tends to get pretty crowded. Kanaya can't imagine why she hasn't gotten roomier accommodations, but she's trying to make due. Part of that means getting Ashiah out of the house as frequently as she can, giving her a chance to stretch her legs. Much as the grub insists she can look after herself, her mother isn't so easily convinced. Earth is a weird world for her, even if she's mostly grown up on it. They aren't used to seeing something like her.
In fact, they seem less used to her than Kanaya would have thought, after five years. Some of them cross on the other side of the street, others visibly recoil, even scream. Kanaya can only assure them that she's harmless, and herbivorous besides. It isn't like she's going to eat any of them.
When they come to any park, Kanaya lets her run freely, but firmly reminds her not to dig. Ashiah gives her an irreverent chirrup before she goes to climb a tree. Kanaya just scoffs as she settles down on a nearby bench with a book. ]
Kids.
b. up in the air
Nonah, De Chima, Maurtia Falls, Heropa
[ When Ashiah's tired herself out enough for a nap, (she thinks sleeping in the corner of the ceiling makes her so edgy!) Kanaya gets the chance to stretch out, herself. With the wings of her suit extended, she's free to glide through the city, to survey. She glides around like this for a while, moving from building to building, from city to city, just looking for anything that demand her intervention.
Eventually, something will catch her eye, and she'll alight nearby before retracting her wings. ]
Alright. What's going on here, then?
c. choose your own adventure!
[ Feel free to make your own scenario, or hit me up at
royaltimes if you'd like me to make one for you! ]
