WHAT: Daisy and Sarah got arrested for assault.
WARNINGS: Alcohol and violence.

[The night started out okay, Daisy and Sarah met up for drinks at a local bar. Yeah, great, except it ended up with them being arrested for assault after a guy tried to get a little too personal with Daisy.

In the end the two of them won against him, and Daisy was still drunk(and smug) when they were booked at the police station. Admittedly it was her idea to call Alison though, to bail them out. Sarah didn't seem as thrilled by the idea but honestly? She had no idea who else to call. Certainly not Jesse, especially with the fact that she's still drunk she was bound to say or do something stupid.]

Jesus. Why does it feel like we've been here for hours?

[Her words are slurred and she's not sure if that's from a knock to the head or the alcohol.]

[ Sarah is sitting (sulking, really) in the far corner of the cell, nursing a split lip. She's definitely not happy that Alison is the one coming to bail them out, but Alison is better than most anyone else. If nothing else, Alison will keep this quiet in order to keep herself from the embarrassment of it. ]

'Cause we've got nothing to occupy our time with.

[ It's not like she's ever done real time in jail before, but this certainly isn't her first time spending a night waiting to be bailed out. ]

[Alison was midway through her nightly skincare regime when she received the call from the police station about her housemate and sister. There was obviously no way she was going to go down to the station with the matcha green tea face mask still in place, and as far as she was concerned, the two of them could stand to wait in the "drunk tank" a little longer until they were appropriately sober and could reflect on their actions.

... not that Alison actually had a high-horse to sit upon when it came to alcohol-dependency and getting into brawls. But at least the latter had only happened once, and the police hadn't been involved. Or at least hadn't been involved initially.

She showed up forty minutes later at the station with an irritable expression to contrast her soft and dewy skin. It was another twenty minutes before the bail payment had been arranged, resulting in Daisy and Sarah's release. If they had any presumptions about her being a reassuring presence under these circumstances, they were sorely misguided.]

You're paying me back for this.

[Lord knows Sarah can afford to, with that safe full of money from drug-dealing.]

[Oh, Daisy has totally reflected on her actions. She regretted nothing. A lot of her time was spent staring at her tattoo, which now glowed with the word 'Criminal' on it. The first sign that Alison had finally shown up was the fact that her tattoo went back to reading 'Unsettled'.

Getting up from her seat about halfway, she lost balance and promptly fell back into it.]

Every cent.

[Alison sighs as she goes to offer Daisy a steadying hand, wrinkling her nose at the alcoholic fumes radiating from her.]

That includes the taxi ride to get me here and back.

[Daisy is trying very hard not to laugh right now. Getting to her feet, Daisy moved forward on wobbly legs.]

Thank God. I thought we were going to have to walk.

The fresh air might do you some good, but I have better things to be doing with my time.

[Mostly sleeping, like any decent person at this time of night.]

[Her own joke did her in and she lurched forward in laughter halfway out the door.]

[That just earns a massive eye-roll and put-upon sigh from Alison as she tries to guide Daisy into the taxi.]

Very original, Daisy. Now stay put while I go get Sarah.

[Getting into the back of the cab, Daisy fell onto her side. Gripping the back of the poor cabbies' head rest, Daisy righted herself into a sitting position.]

Hello.

Try not to insult anyone while I'm gone, okay?

[The last thing she wants is for this cab driver to abandon them at this time of night.]

I'm not. Jeeze mom.

[The girl can barely handle sitting, okay?]

[Once Alison gets Sarah loaded into the cab as well, she climbs into the front seat and directs the driver to Heropa 31. She only hopes he doesn't go selling the story to some horrible rag tabloid in the morning.]

If you're feeling nauseous, just make sure you give us some warning too.

[She's already rummaging in her purse for a plastic big, in case of emergency.]

Oh. I already threw up twice.

[Daisy threw a look to Sarah, a drunken smile on her face.]

Thanks for holding my hair when I threw up on that guys shoes.

['That guy' being the one that had started the fight to begin with.]

... that's nice.

[She decides not to comment further and just hopes that they reach Heropa 31 without any incidents.]

[ Sarah just sniffs, a bit contemptuously, and walks toward the exit. She'll pay Alison back, of course, when she sobers up. But right now, she's too sulky and ashamed to bring herself to admit that. Or to say anything, really, because she knows if she does, she'll end up pissing Alison off even more. Her face hurts—she's got a split lip and what's almost certainly going to be a black eye in a few hours—and her knuckles are scraped and she just wants to be out of here. ]

[Alison makes a soft clucking noise as she gets a good look at her sister, wondering if whoever they got in a tussle with came out looking worse. She thanks the stern-looking woman she's been dealing with for her discretion before following Sarah towards the door.]

You're going to need some ice for your face.

[coppelganger]

I'll handle it, Alison.

[ She swings out the door, makes it to the sidewalk, and then pauses, because she has no idea where she's going to go now. ]

[subourbon]

[Alison indicates at the waiting taxi cab that is probably racking up a huge bill.]

I think you might as well stay at our place until you're sober enough to get home.

[coppelganger]

What, I don't look sober to you?

[ (No, she does not.) Still sulky, Sarah climbs into the taxi. Admittedly, it's nice to be sitting in one that she doesn't have to drive herself. ]

You certainly don't smell like it.

[She gets into the front seat and directs the cab driver to Heropa 31.]

You're one to talk.

[subourbon]

[She huffs, not surprised but also surprisingly stung at that jab.]

That was in the past and a very difficult time, Sarah, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't throw it in my face.

[coppelganger]

Well, I'm going through a difficult time now. So I'd appreciate it if you didn't...

[ Okay, she guesses Alison hasn't actually done anything. Yet. Whatever. Sarah thunks her head against the window of the cab and closes her eyes. ]

[Alison opens her mouth to say something, then remembers Daisy and the cab driver and decides against it.]

We can talk about it in the morning.
