big>WHO: April and Sasha
WHERE: Here and there and around
WHEN: Backdated to saturday, may 21
WHAT: Post birthday bonding
WARNINGS: None at the moment.
April's plan is mostly fast and loose, ready to change on Sasha's reactions. But it primarily involved her version of a make over. But until Sasha arrive at the meeting point of Bench In Heropa Park, April killed time throwing pieces of food for her raccoons to fetch then run back to her. It was a simple pleasure, but still entertaining when she mock threw it and they still ran.

She hopes so.
It takes Sasha a few minutes to find April in the park, as "bench" is a rather vague meeting point when there are several of them around the area. She finds her eventually, following the raccoons back to her.
"Hi, April!"
no subject
April leaves the raccoons to running around, trying to figure out where the food is and stands up to greet Sasha.
"Ready?"

Sasha pulls her purse forward, opening the small latch so she can dig around quickly for something. After a moment, she pulls out what appears to be a bag of gummy bears — except they're not just bears in the package, they've got other animal shapes, including reptiles.
"This is for you. Um, happy belated birthday!" she adds with a bright smile. "Where do you want to go?"
no subject
"Thanks. We're going shopping first. You can drive."
So April can

She immediately freezes up like a tiny animal that's caught sight of a predator. Vivid imagery in her mind's eye brings her back to unfortunate driving lessons with Dorian Gray... and a backed over Dorian Gray.
"I don't know how to do that."
no subject
"Okay. I'll drive. You'll learn later. Talk to Will. He needs to make the wizard a chauffeur anyway.
no subject
And she's terrified she'll hit someone else again with it. Someone who isn't immortal.

Like Sasha doesn't get a choice. But come on, Sasha. They're Ludgate women. They don't fear anything. But it's time to move into the car and get driving anyway.
no subject
But she follows April to the car, getting into the passenger's seat and immediately buckling her belt. She's not overly fond of cars, but she's gotten accustomed to them enough to be able to travel short distances in them. She prefers them more than planes and boats anyway.
"Are we going to the mall?"
no subject
AKA they're going to a thrift store. One of those vintage ones that is more about finding weird relics from the past than actually saving money.
"So. Life."
no subject
It was April's birthday, so shouldn't they talk about her?
no subject
"How is it?"

Life's been... better, to say the least. Sasha isn't struggling with sleep and nausea anymore. Her appetite is back to normal, healthy level and she's managed to drop a couple of pounds from what she had put on over the past few months.
She still thinks about home, about her friends and they people they've had to hurt to get where they are. She still carries guilt about killing Reiner, but she's trying everything she can not to dwell too much lest she burst into tears again or worse, the headaches and nausea return.
"Good... I'm almost done with school and then it's summer vacation!"
no subject
Sasha was a good, responsible kid. She wouldn't spend her summers like April had drinking and hanging out with her boyfriends. Maybe. April could always nudge her that way.
But for now April pulls into the vintage shop. For now it was make-over time.
no subject
And she loves working with the dogs especially, but over the past several months as school draws to a close, Sasha's been re-thinking her current job, among other things. There's no longer that sense of urgency to get home as soon as she can. In fact, she's content to stay here for however long that will be, but it means she needs to figure out what she's going to do. Lately, she feels as if she's drifting out to sea with no oar or map to guide her.
"Do you have plans for the summer? Traveling to another hot place with Will?"
no subject
April gives a one shoulder shrug as she gets out of the car. Vacation's weren't cheap.
"So hopefully Jeff defends satan again or something. He's loaded."
no subject
"Did you mean Lucifer? Are Jeff and Lucifer...?"
Friends, is what she's looking for, but she finds it hard to imagine for some reason. She also hopes that isn't the case, considering Lucifer did mess with them all that one summer.
no subject
Important answer to know, as they enter the store.
no subject
"Um," she looks back at April, trying not to get too distracted. "The heels on my boots are rather small, but I don't fit into them anymore."
no subject
Haven't really tried it means she might secretly be awesome at it, right? Right.
April leads the way into the store and they're heading straight to the area with almost Victorian looking stuff.

A look into their near future as April pulls a black dress off the wall and holds it in front of Sasha.
no subject
It's not so much the location of their next destination (clubbing means food and drinks), but the dress April holds for Sasha to look over. It's a pretty dress, but she eyes the scoop of the neckline and places both hands over own chest as if she's too exposed.
"It would look nice with um, a light blouse, wouldn't it?"
no subject
She hands her the dress and points to the dressing room. Go, little daughter. Embrace your adopted shameless heritage.
no subject
While she wears some slightly low cut and crop tops, Sasha, for the most part, still wears clothes that provide her with ample coverage and ability to move in them if possible.
The dress is pretty, however... maybe she should snap a picture and sent it someone she knows for another opinion while she's in the changing room.
