[ OPEN LOG ]
WHO: Saint Walker & YOU!
WHERE: Around Heropa! Other cities are doable too; just say so in the title!
WHEN: Throughout May.
WHAT: Pet opossums, meditation, terrible fashion decisions, and more!
WARNINGS: None anticipated; to be changed if necessary! If you'd like to do something not listed here, just tag in, or PM me/PP me @ feygasm if you'd like to arrange for something else!
[ A ; OPOSSUMS MAKE GREAT PETS ]
[Volunteering at an animal shelter was never going to go well for Saint Walker, which is how his poor housemates wound up with an opossum with a defective jaw and a tarantula in their home. Luckily, Walker decided not to take the tarantula out for a walk, but the opossum is an entirely different story.
He strolls through the park, and the opossum, oddly enough, trots at his heels. At some point down the path, the opossum may run up to a complete stranger. Some would say that it's cute for what it is, extremely crooked jaw and all, but others would rightly think: get that thing away from me.
Saint Walker offers the stranger a smile and says,] Do not worry; he is quite friendly!
[ B ; MEDITATION ]
[Or, perhaps, you're someone in need of spiritual guidance. Walker had advertised his meditation lessons before, and is willing to take on as many students as he must. Perhaps you're one of said students, meeting him for an arranged lesson, seeking out clarity and peace of mind, spirit and body. Or, perhaps, you're not; it's easy enough to run into him meditating on his own as well.
While most people would leave someone to his own devices, Saint Walker is an unusual sight, floating cross-legged in mid-air, a pale blue glow cast around his body as he moves slowly and deliberately, performing his own rendition of tai chi.]
[ C ; SOMEONE GET THIS MAN A PERSONAL SHOPPER ]
[While Saint Walker is currently wearing the outfit he arrived in, simple as it may be, he's had quite a lot of difficulty finding any clothing to match his sensibilities here. Be that as it may, he cannot wear the same thing on a daily basis, so he's taken a trip to the local mall, looking as out of place as can be, though he doesn't appear to be terribly bothered by that fact.
He is, however, making some questionable sartorial choices as he continues fumbling his way through human fashion. It's a distinct problem; he both does not care about fashion, and has not paid an awful lot of attention to what is popular, broadly through surrounding himself with hippies and other imPorts.
When you see him, he may be holding up a spectacularly awful outfit, staring at it thoughtfully and, evidently, positively. Will you encourage him to continue making bad choices, or will you steer him in the right direction?]
[ D ; CYOA ]
[Open prompt! Do whatever you like, and I'll roll with it.]

AAAAAYYYYY
...Here's Fuu, stopping in her tracks as the. The thing?? runs up to meet her what is it Japan does not have opossums but she is 90% sure this is not a pet animal.]
Ah! Saint Walker... [...] He's a friend of yours?
EYYYY
[Fuu, at least, gets a big smile out of Saint Walker. She does not appear to be displeased, though she is somewhat startled.]
This creature is called an opossum. The local animal shelter rescued him, and felt that without supervision, he would quickly die. Now, he is underneath my care.
no subject
An opossum? Like the Australian creature? [It does have a familiar look, once you get past the broken jaw.] The poor thing, what happened to him?

A - And I apologize but it was too good to pass up
[Daryl replied, slowly pulling his crossbow off his shoulder so as not to startle the opossum. Make his shot as easy as possible.]
hahah IT'S ALL GOOD
[Saint Walker steps neatly in front of the opposum, frowning deeply in his direction as he raises one hand, the ring on his finger glowing faintly before what seems to be solid blue light simply knocks the crossbow askew, long enough for him to gently scoop the creature back into his arms.]
For what reason would you wish to kill an innocent animal? Sustenance here is plentiful, and available no matter where you may look.
no subject
After a moment he let his bow drop, hanging down next to his side in a loose grip.]
Only if you got money.
[And technically he did, but, well...]

Ah, Mabel! It is good to see you here. And, I think, good to see that you approve of this shirt. It is terribly cheerful, is it not? I quite like the flowers.

[She reasons that even if the guy's visited the planet before, it was probably on important space business, and he probably had to wear his uniform. There's a whole fashion world out there for him to ignore while he focuses on wearing things that are loud and awful.]
Are you open to other patterns? 'Cause there's a shirt with flamingos on it that I think you could rock!

She came early for a meeting at one store in Heropa, trying to get a better sense of what they offer before she presents a proposal to the owner. Looking at what works, what she can do better for them, just seeking inspiration.
She ends up distracted when she recognizes one of the patrons. When she sees what he's looking at, her grimace is involuntary. ]
Walker. Put that down.
Please.
Re: c!
[No matter how grim her expression, Saint Walker will not allow Kanaya to pass without smiling brightly right back at her. He does, in fact, put the shirt down, but does not fold it, a clear sign that he intends to come back to it later.]
What seems to be the problem?
no subject
[ She puts a hand on the shirt, frowning as big as she can manage. ] ...Your taste.
I'm sure we could find you something...far less disastrous than this. [ Why they even sell it is a total mystery to her. The shirt is loud enough to blow her eardrums. ]

[Saint Walker sets the shirt down, though he does not fold it; he intends to get back to it, after all.] You must have a very delicate disposition indeed. What colours are more to your liking, my friend?
[He is, however, still smiling.]
no subject
Uhhh... [He then looks down at his current attire before turning his eyes back to Saint Walker.] The ones I wear? No one's ever asked me that question before.

And so that's why she approaches him when he's meditating. The advantage to being a cat is that you tend to just have a lot of patience: rather than interrupting, she sits and waits, eyes fixed on him, silent, hardly even blinking. ]

A good afternoon to you, my friend. I hope that you are enjoying this sunshine as much as I.
no subject
I don't want to turn it into a competition, but I think I might actually be enjoying it more.

One coming up to him,, looking so unique, is definitively a surprise.
What is... that... even.......
As Walker approaches, Sasaki looks back at the other, recognizing him right away. ]
is he...? [ he isn't going to pet it. Sorry, brother, but- just no ] What happened to it? [ the face, he means ]
no subject
The good people at the shelter do not know. They suspect that he was caught in a man-made trap of some making, but it is possible that he became involved in an altercation with a fellow animal as well. Whatever the cause, I am taking care of him for the time being. I felt that he, like myself, would appreciate the fresh air!
no subject
I see- [ gosh, poor thing is hideous ] Are opossums the usual pet here? I mean, I never heard of anyone having one as a pet- [ or seen, he certainly hasn't seen that, either ]

And right now, truth be told, she was now distracted by the blue-skinned individual meditating. That wasn't the strange part though. He was floating! Like, really floating in the air! It was amazing! Nike couldn't help bend down and watch him from a safe distance. Should she say something? Anything? Or just....let him continue on until he was done?
Without thinking about it, Nike will take a seat next to him, crossing her legs in a way that her one piece short dress will cover her undergarments from view. Her gaze will be on the one next to her.]
I doubt I'll be able to copy you, but...I can join you in trying to get a better feel for the city once more. Maybe your special form will amplify my range. [There will be a light chuckle.] Even if the idea may be impossible to in the end, I guess.
no subject
I would not ask you to copy me! [He exclaims with a cheerful little chuckle, large, black eyes creasing in gentle mirth.] But I can, I think, copy you in this respect. May I ask what you mean by getting a better feel of the city?

A; man vs. wild
Important note about Peter Parker: for all the breadth of his travels, both before and after his imPortation, at heart he's a homebody city boy. Related note: not a big fan of Nature, definitely never been this close to an opossum, crooked-jawed or otherwise. ]
Gah!
[ Yup, there goes the coffee. He just washed these jeans, too. ]
no subject
Perhaps my warnings of his friendliness ought to be slightly more empathetic, [he says, a mite apologetically as he reads Peter's discomfort and reaches out to nudge Murray off onto a more desirable path. He does not, notably, apologize for Murray's actions; he is a creature with his own mind, and will do what he will, and, in Walker's opinion, did nothing wrong.]
