For Garrus
For the smallest of moments before arriving at the door, Glitch wondered if people were at all worried. Maybe not, there were other things to worry about going on here. But, he did leave a couple of...well...unnerving messages to people. But only two.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad?
Deciding ten minutes of awkwardly standing outside is enough he makes a small cough, holding a large bottle in his hands of that what appears to be dextro friendly alcohol and then a knock at the door. ]

[He must be growing old.]
[Speaking of old, when he peeks through the little eyehole in his door and catches a glimpse of the kid in front of it, Garrus can't help the grin that spreads through his mandibles. He'd been worried about Glitch over the past few weeks. No calls, no texts, nothing to suggest he was hurt, but nothing to suggest that he was okay, either.]
[So when he opens the door, he has to force some bluster into his voice, regardless of his relief.]
Where the hell have you been?
no subject
So far it looks like relief.
First, he holds out the bottle with two hands for Garrus to take and then answers: ]
Would you believe dimensional kidnapping?
no subject
[He takes the bottle and moves aside so Glitch can enter the apartment.]
Well, as reasonable as it can get for this place. I've learned to, uh, suspend my disbelief a lot more these past months.
But first thing's first-- you all right?
no subject
But, he keeps his face fairly sombre about it. ]
Good thing too. Never know when dragons or psycho criminals will come through. [ but he's stalling at this rate. ]
'M fine. Nothing happened to me other than being there for five seconds.
no subject
[He motions at a nearby couch so Glitch can make himself comfortable, placing the bottle on a countertop as he continues to speak to the kid.]
You sure there's nothing to talk about?
no subject
He's in no mood for an argument, so, he'll just go sit down on the couch. Elbows on his knees as his hands hang between his legs. ]
I...really nothing happened. I just...when I you go home you don't remember anything here and let me tell you everything here was kind of like shell shock. [ He bites the inside of his cheek a bit, his fingers frantically moving because sitting still is awkward. He sounds tired when he talks, old even, far too old for a sixteen year old: ]
I didn't even know how to work a fucking toaster, couldn't cook. The only advantages I had here were not getting locked up and getting money to pay for things. Back there...? I literally spent a couple of days in the forest before I just happened to stumbled onto a city. I...I'm not sure I'm gonna make it when I get back. Let alone with- [ but he stops. No. no he doesn't want to bring him up. It hurts to much to even think about it. It takes everything to keep himself in this moment instead of flashing back to all those painful moments in the forest. He's literally digging his finger nails into his skin to stay in the room, drawing blood as he does. ]
no subject
[So instead of pushing Glitch to talk more, he nods and lets the topic go.]
In any case, I'm glad to see you back.
If there's anything else you wanna talk about, let me know. Until then maybe I can grab you some food or something.
no subject
I thought you couldn't eat normal people food?
no subject
Second of all, I can bring you stuff and bring my own stuff too. It's almost like I'm used to dealing with humans.
Jacob
In hand he's got alcohol. Don't ask how it was obtained. It probably wasn't legal.
Knock knock knock on the door and Glitch calls:]
Yo, Jacob? You here? If not I'm kicking the door in.
no subject
Glitch! Good to see you. You doing okay?
[Because, again, his going away message? Fucking terrifying. The booze in-hand isn't an encouraging sign either.]
no subject
Uh, good. Just good. Thought you'd like to drink whatever problems you have away if there are any.
no subject
Things are going pretty well right now, actually. But I'll keep that handy for the next time that changes- thanks.
[He stands aside to welcome Glitch inside.]
You can check out the new place while we catch up. Just moved a couple months ago. I'm still getting a feel for living in Maurtia Falls, instead of just fighting crime here.
no subject
He does step on inside, deciding to look more out the window to the streets below than around the apartment itself. ]
Suppose it is weird living right in the enemies den so to speak. [ He preferred living ways a way from the place. ]
Sorey
Though he continues to forget that he doesn't live in this place alone.
Shame for him, huh? ]
