But if weirdness is unusual, then why are so many places weird? It'll bring the weirdness down to normal which wouldn't make it weird in the first place!

So your common is my weird. And, based on the alien invasions, my common is your weird. So what if, and bear with me here, what if there's an Earth where nothing happens? No superheroes, no alien invasions, no people coming in from other dimensions, picture the most boring, most dull Earth you can think of.

Depends on the superpower! My Time Lord self counted as a superpower, but I can also create chalk from nothing. That's useful, but not really a superpower.

I can tell if time's been messed with, what year we're in, things like that. I can feel paradoxes and feel the tensile nature of the time stream. Fancy alien time powers.
