I've had it for a long time. And I'm glad the person who made it was here for a while - he made me several. [ so he has a bunch of toothy masks ]

yes? I guess Uta-san was always very obvious about what he is, and yet, still manages never to outright admit it. [ kaneki smiles, amused. then again, uta lives in a pretty ghoul-filled district that Doves can't really control. ]
Anyway, he makes ghouls masks. That's his job.

You know- ghouls are... outcast creatures. They live among humans and they pretend to be human and some do try to actually be part of the society. But we can never truly be a human, we can't have human rules. So they are very different in terms of what most consider normal, in terms of what amuses them, what amuses us, what is strange and what isn't.
[ he smiles a little, looking at the mask in his hands ] It's weird to have a mask, but not to us. It's weird to always wear your battlesuit under your clothes, not to me.
It's weird for an adult guy to be very amused at a Ghoulfriends Show and have a kick out of the unsuspected participants, but not to him.
Or maybe I'm making up with something to excuse our quirks.

[ She gestures back to his clothing. ] And your suit, well, it helps in a fight, doesn't it? Sometimes, it's difficult to anticipate when those will occur, anyone who's been an imPort for a significant amount of time knows that! So, there is a fair amount of logic in keeping it with you.
[ Maybe it's even common among the costumed set. She might just be too fashion-oriented to ever try it herself. ]
As for Uta? Being amused at Ghoulfriends would have been easy for anyone who wasn't a participant! Just because it wasn't especially fun for us, I'm sure the viewers were thrilled to see Laurie and I try to climb that mountain of foam and fudge.
