[That's a cute image, honestly. A blond haired, blue eyed boy (probably not Japanese) boy with a country accent on a motorcycle he can't even use properly.]

That'll make him stand out for sure! One of my roommates has an accent like that too--it's pretty cute.


["Roommate" is...pretty loose. More like 'Maya adopted this dog and it ended up staying there'.]

They are, aren't they? I'm almost jealous.

[She leans in again to investigate the painting and hums her approval.]

It looks beautiful! Now it just needs... hmm... little dots, like stars. All of the happy souls moving around.

Stars...

[He snaps his fingers, getting the white paint out and spraying a little on his fingers.]

That's the easy part!

[His fingers flick out, haphazardly, flicking the white paint onto the canvas. And...honestly, creates a very believable star-like effect.]

[She gasps, then hops up from her stool, clapping.]

That's perfect! Is that it? Are you done?

[After looking it over, he takes a step back, letting his eyes see it from somewhere other than right up close to it. It's definitely one of his better ones, he has to say--maybe it's because he was given something specific to work with, and put his own little touch on it as well. There's something to be said for sharing universes, he's always known they could be shared.

And this is...him touching hers, in a way.]

I think so. Give it a moment to dry, and it's all yours--unless you can think of anything else.

[But for now, he's gonna take that X-acto knife and etch his name in Kanji in the corner, peeling away the black as he writes it to show that green underneath.]

No, this is... This is enough.

[There's just something about seeing the Lifestream again that does her in. She's only been here a few weeks, but they've been a strange few weeks. On her own planet, the Lifestream had been there her entire life. The joined voices of everyone that had ever lived, talking to her when she had no one else. Her mother's voice in the church. It's so quiet here.

Rick said he'd been here eight months, someone else told her ten, and it seemed like everyone just accepted this as their new life now. Maybe she'll get there one day, but right now, it's still raw.

So Aerith just smiles at Kaneda, though her cheeks are a bit flushed and maybe her eyes are a little watery.]

[She looks away quickly, pulling out her wallet to pay him.]

[He knows that face. It's the same face Kaneda had seen on Tetsuo when he'd been from the same point as he was. That sort of connection to something that only you know about, and that only YOU can feel. He's not sure what it is about this river in the sky, but if it can make her look like that...

Well, it's his place to understand it. That was her world.


He smiles, holding up a hand.]


Hey, consider it a real housewarming present. On one condition: you hang it up so everyone can see it, alright?


You're advertising for me.

[She... doesn't know about that. It won't have significance to anyone else. But she guesses she can let it hang in the living room for a few days so her roommates can see it. THEN she can rep Kaneda and get him more commissions.]

[But she pulls out a few bills from her wallet anyway and pushes them at him.]
