I dunno, man. When I got kidnapped, there were lots of people that weren't smart to kidnap too, I'm just sayin'.

[He gestures towards Tim's crutches.] And this seems like something that could backfire, big time. I mean, totally your decision and all - [he's the strategist, not Jaime] - but if I were you...

[What happens if something happens, and someone stays behind to try to help you? How many different ways could someone figure it out? Jaime could, just by a rudimentary scan. If someone else did that kind of scan and figured out he was faking it, how'd he be able to cover it up?

And, well, crutches seem like a huge pain in the ass.]

I'll... think about it. [Maybe it's a pointless pain in the ass, but it at least makes him feel a little better about having nanotech inside him that can apparently be hacked and manipulated. There may have been improvements made to them, but Tim's not especially trusting of the government that has legitimate access to them, either.]

Do that. In the meantime though, uh... you might wanna come up with a contingency plan, if you haven't already? If I put my scanners on, I'd be able to see what your health's like in, like, two seconds. I'm probably not the only guy with those powers, and someone else miiiight be nosier than I am, so they might have a question or two.

[Not that Jaime would actually use his powers on Tim, or on anyone else, really, not without their express permission. It's private, and he usually keeps his body scanners on the down-low... unless it's immediately after a crisis, and he gets worried. Sure, it's still an invasion of privacy after a big fight, but he can usually justify it to himself more than he probably should if it's one of his friends and he wants to make sure that all their bits and pieces are still in the right place.]
