You can... But I don't mind listening to you chatter, so why would you?

To prove that I can? I gotta play opposite of my type sometimes.

[He scrutinizes Minato.] Somehow, I don't think me smiling at you would get you to talk any more than you do.

Oh. You could just ask. I told Ken-kun I'd start a newsletter if necessary.

Hm.

[Jaime appears to seriously consider that for a moment, then points at Minato decisively.] That's not a bad idea you've got there. I could always use some supplementary info.

Supplementary info...?

I'm not sure what I'd say. It'd be a short newsletter.

[ Some people, with the advent of instant communication, want to narrate every second of their lives. Minato wonders why anyone would care what he had for breakfast, or what schools he applied to. They seem equally unimportant to him. His blog might be a record of what people he spoke to that day. ]

That's why it'd be interesting! I'd wanna see what you'd think is important enough to put in it, instead of waiting around for me to interrogate you, [he teases, but it's not that far from the truth; sometimes when Minato gets home, he does get way more detailed questions than he'd receive from others.

Jaime's learned how to talk to Minato, after all.]

[ Minato puts up with it with long-suffering tolerance. He's slowly getting acclimated to it, really... he doesn't quite volunteer things but it's getting progressively less like pulling teeth.

For example, he takes this cue rather than needing to be explicitly told. ] ... Well, I think things are going okay with Tetsuo.

[For all of his ribbing, he hadn't actually expected Minato to bring up anything serious. He raises his brows at him, both surprised and pleased at the admittance.]

Yeah? Y'know, I haven't known a whole lot about what you've been doing with him. You just been talking to him, or...?

I try to leave him alone most of the time. [ What a parole officer, huh. But as explanation about why Minato hasn't had much to say. ]

Mostly just talking, yeah. I let him into my mind once again recently, so he could show me something, but it was fine.

[khajidont]

What kind of thing did he have to show you to make him hafta go into your mind?

[Jaime doesn't sound protective, per se - even though Minato's reckless, he's not too opposed to interacting from mind to mind - but if Tetsuo took a traipse into Minato's mind, it must have been for something important.

It's just nice to know that he knows exactly what's in part of Minato's mind, and it's nothing but pleasant. He likes Minato's Persona.]

[ The real answer seems too personal to tell Jaime in any detail, but Minato doesn't mind telling him in general, so he keeps it vague. ]

He was confused about something that's hard to explain, so I told him to just show me. My Persona probably won't interfere unless I feel threatened.

Dude, I'm pretty sure your Persona would actually calm people down. They're nice.

[Which is a weird way to describe them, but after having had them, that's just the way Jaime feels. They had been such a calm, soothing presence.]

I'm glad it worked out. He didn't see anything you didn't want him to...?

They're nice because I like you, [ Minato says bluntly, but he appears faintly pleased at Jaime's assessment of them. It's such a direct compliment, in a way.

But then-- ] What is there that I wouldn't want him to see? [ Faintly puzzled. Really, what are personal boundaries. ]

[khajidont]

Aw. That makes sense.

[He still looks pretty happy at that prospect anyway. It's nice that the guys inside Minato's head approve of him too, even if they are inherently connected to Minato.]

But... plenty of stuff. Whatever you'd wanna keep private, or -- I guess for you, it'd be whatever other people wanna keep private too. I'm sure plenty of people tell you their secrets.
