There's a guy I know. Joel. He and Dad are about the same age, and we come from similar worlds. I can see how they might confuse him as my dad sometimes, although Dad and I share the last name.

Yeah. He looked after me when Dad wasn't here, and he helped Dad when he did arrived.

Yeah, there's a good chance that they don't care as long as it looks good.

[ Although he has seen artwork of him and Jesse Pinkman together in a group shot, and it makes him want to start shooting people. Or at least give a stern talking down. ]

So far the worst I've seen some really lovey-dovey stuff between me and a friend of mine from home. I'm hoping she doesn't see that.

Which, I mean, I sort of get? People want their celebrities to look good. That's why tabloids love 'power couples' and stuff.

[Okay, but now she's curious. And she can't help but smile, almost teasingly.]

A little, mostly on her behalf. I know her well enough that she's not the romantic type and would never do the things half of those drawings show her doing.

[ And even iIf Carl showed up at her door with a giant stuffed bear, some roses, and chocolates, she'll probably take the chocolates and tell him to donate the rest to charity, followed by a door slamming in Carl's face. ]
