[He laughs, though leaning up against one of the tables.]

He's trying to get into the band at Nonah Middle School, I guess. Weird, since he lives in Heropa.

Wait, for real? (dipper... getting involved in something that isn't nerd stuff? well, band is still technically nerd...) Is that Ken's school? If it is, that makes a lot of sense.

[ Hey, that's not fair! The last time he talked with Dojima-san, it was a nice conversation! ...even though he really shouldn't have been there in jail. Stupid bonds. ]

[He smiles, putting a hand on Adachi's shoulder as they walk.]

They've got all these weird names too, like...they're trying to make a pun out of em all.

[ He almost stiffened at the touch, but he managed to keep it to just a little twitch. There was that quiet voice in the back of his head, whispering not to touch him, just like before everything happened and Dojima's brat wouldn't stop being an annoying girlfriend. He quashed it quickly enough, but the unsettled feeling in his guy lingered; dammit, why did all the rest of them have to make this shit look easy? ]

Hey, I can appreciate a good food pun, as long as there's pun-ch involved? Eh heh...

[ ...that was awful. If he ever saw Sho again, he was going to punch him for ruining his sense of humor. ]

Junpei Iori, huh?!

[ Jyushimatsu knows that guy, right?! He's pretty sure of it -- hard to forget a fellow BASEBALL!! fan completely, after all -- so with excitement he bounces over in Junpei's direction from the stand of doujinshi he was perusing just moments before (though he still has one such book in hand) to investigate the situation.

Dressed in his own particular creative cosplay, he gives Junpei a lookover -- from head to toe -- before he nods enthusiastically, offering an encouraging thumbs up. ]

Don't listen to them, it's a great costume! Great! You look just like him!

[It takes a moment for him to recognize that voice--the mask over his head does nothing to make him recognizable in the least. But he soon places it (that guy who looks a little like Todomatsu!) and smiles.

Oh my god, does he--does he think he's cosplaying himself.

What can I say, dude? I go for authenticity! ....And...you're supposed to be...

[ Either that, or this is some stranger who's done an uncannily perfect job of it. Jyushimatsu knows a thing or two about cosplay culture, certainly the lengths people can go for it.

So, Jyushimatsu uses both his hands to give Junpei a double thumbs up for accuracy, since in his sleeveless costume today his hands are actually visible. ]

Super authentic, one hundred percent!! Bases loaded, that's a home-run of a job for sure! [ Then he does a twirl, allowing his cape to flap a little showily. ] I'm Power Beetle! Do you like it? I made the whole thing myself!

B! Belatedly

[ She'd really only meant to step out for a moment. Just to get some fresh air, to soak up a bit of the relative quiet after the endless buzz of the convention hall . . . but the sunlight flashing on gold wings, the metallic sounds of joints stretched out in flight might as well be a siren's call, nearly impossible to resist.

It's worth it though. It really is amazing, seeing a shadow not only existing like this, but actually interacting, and making people happy . . . ]

So that's . . . Trismegistus, full size version?

[Junpei's ears proverbially perk up as he turns his head--someone else saying the name of his persona, especially someone not of SEES always gets his attention. Kind of like your own name being called. So when Junpei turns his head, Trismegistus does the same, wingears flicking up in alertness. Almost...dog-like.]

Oh...it's you, from the Seminar thing...


[And without burning coffee on her hands, always a good sign!]

Yep, that's him, full size and full power.

[ No coffee. And she's . . . alert, this time, in a way she definitely wasn't before, glancing bird-quick between him and Trismegistus as they mirror each other. ]

Back at the seminar . . . I didn't really get a chance to thank you.

Kuru-chan...what a lovely name.

[He laughs, playing with the lip of his hat.] Please, just call me Junpei--goin' for the friendly and informal with this guy.

[His smile widens, taking a look back down at her hands.] Don't mention it. With everything that happened, we just gotta stick together through that stuff. No sense crying over spilled coffee, I guess you could say.

[ Her cheeks pink a little at the compliment, eyes dropping awkwardly. Him, Maya . . . she still wasn't really used people seeing her like that.

Her gaze follows his to her hands, and she spreads her fingers, turning her hands over. Her fingers are calloused, maybe a little dry . . . but aside from an older scar running down between her left thumb and forefinger, they're fine.

Not that there would have been any marks from such a tiny thing over two months back, but still . . . she's not shying back from him this time, either. ]

It still . . . it took a lot to do anything back then. And you didn't even think about it.
