[The inside of the Amestrian household look like a clash between a scrap yard and a library. For the most part, Winry and Edward seem to have made a half-hearted attempt to keep the piles of books and heaps of metal more or less piled on top of or around the furniture so they're not laying sprawled across the floor for Roy to trip over but, well... There is a lot. The spines of the book show a variety of topics: engineering, chemistry, memory, bionics, quantum theory, space, a couple of medical texts, history. On the coffee table there's a sizable stack of audio books. Mostly history, a couple on popular science and psychology, more about space narrated by Neal DeLawn Bison. Evidently the Amestrians took the twenty book check out limit to the max and then some. Library fraud may or may not be involved.]
