Well, I haven't actually eaten yet. I ended up coming outside to look around and got roped into an impromptu magic show.

[Which means he doesn't mind accompanying her if she doesn't mind the company.]

Most of what I saw there were just quaint little shops filled with what looked like touristy things .

[He grins and bows, holding out a yellow rose towards her.]

It's a family tradition. My Dad was pretty famous back home and I want to be just as good if not better then he was.

[He isn't even old enough to step onto the gambling floor. At least Kaito Kuroba isn't. Some of his many disguises, however...]

[Jo can understand wanting to be as good as a father. She's felt like that most of her life.]

[Kaito's felt that way just about all of his life, if he stopped to think about it.

He'll over his arm, like a proper gentleman and grin at her.]

[Jo laughs quietly and accepts the offered arm. It's been a long time since someone did that.]

You can just call me Jo, it's okay.

[ Poker Face in place, his grin is wide as he starts to lead her down the street, past little shops and various people out for a walk. If anything, this brief excursion will hopefully help him forget, if only for a little while, what's happened so far and what's happening back home.

Not for the first time, he finds himself wondering about his two detectives, but he trusts them enough to know that they could get themselves out of trouble. If not, well... it wasn't like Hattori didn't know who he really was, after all. ]

This is the first time I've been willingly out of the country since I got here. I've been busy with just trying to figure this place out and work on my shows, you should come by sometime, after all this stuff is over.

Maybe she should change that, but she still doesn't have a lot of faith in the US government.]

It seems to be! There's usually a lot of people there, especially on the weekends.

I mean, I'm nowhere near the level my dad was, but I like to think I'm pretty good.

People always have to find ways to spend their free time. [She works a lot. Some people gamble.]

Fathers have a one-up on their kids, always.

True. Some are repeat customers, though. I certainly hope I'm worth multiple charges of admission.

Yeah. Dad was certainly one of those 'once in a lifetime' types.

For my friends, not much at all.

[ Actually, it was a wonder the casino made anything, since Kaito usually got them all free tickets. ]

They haven't told me to stop yet. Besides, I'll pay them back if they do.
