no worries!
Which direction were you coming from? [She'll head the other way and see if that brings her any luck.]
and wow I give up on English
[Which means he doesn't mind accompanying her if she doesn't mind the company.]
I came from over there.
[He points back behind him.}
Most of what I saw there were just quaint little shops filled with what looked like touristy things .
English is pretty hard lol
[That's interesting enough. Now she's curious.]

[He grins and bows, holding out a yellow rose towards her.]
I usually work at the imPort Casino in Maurtia Falls.

...If she's going to gamble, she'd rather be the one guaranteed the win instead of the casino.]
My name is Jo. It's nice to meet you.
no subject
It's a family tradition. My Dad was pretty famous back home and I want to be just as good if not better then he was.
[He isn't even old enough to step onto the gambling floor. At least Kaito Kuroba isn't. Some of his many disguises, however...]
You as well, Jo-san.
no subject
I guess if you're hungry we can eat together. [He didn't give her any reason not to.]
no subject
He'll over his arm, like a proper gentleman and grin at her.]
Come, milady, I'm sure there must be some place around here that would pass for a steakhouse.
no subject
You can just call me Jo, it's okay.

[ Poker Face in place, his grin is wide as he starts to lead her down the street, past little shops and various people out for a walk. If anything, this brief excursion will hopefully help him forget, if only for a little while, what's happened so far and what's happening back home.
Not for the first time, he finds himself wondering about his two detectives, but he trusts them enough to know that they could get themselves out of trouble. If not, well... it wasn't like Hattori didn't know who he really was, after all. ]
This is the first time I've been willingly out of the country since I got here. I've been busy with just trying to figure this place out and work on my shows, you should come by sometime, after all this stuff is over.

Maybe she should change that, but she still doesn't have a lot of faith in the US government.]
I might have to stop in. Is your act any good?
no subject
I mean, I'm nowhere near the level my dad was, but I like to think I'm pretty good.
no subject
Fathers have a one-up on their kids, always.
no subject
Yeah. Dad was certainly one of those 'once in a lifetime' types.

[ Actually, it was a wonder the casino made anything, since Kaito usually got them all free tickets. ]
Does free sound good?
no subject
Jo gets the impression that it happens a lot.]
no subject
[ He shrugs, once. ]
I never actually counted.

They haven't told me to stop yet. Besides, I'll pay them back if they do.

Maybe.
