WHO: Sabriel and Olivier
WHERE: RISE headquarters
WHEN: February 8th.
WHAT: Sabriel has a request
WARNINGS: Probably none
[Sabriel's stamped down on much of her nervousness. She'd sent a note to Olivier a few hours before, telling her she'd had a request to make. Then she'd put on her armor and surcoat, carefully pinning her RISE badge to the front.
When Sabriel stepped through the door at exactly the time she said she arrived, she had carefully schooled her expression.
After saluting, she paused a moment, then pressed forward. The worst Olivier could do was simply say no, after all.]
Sir, I have a request to make.

She looks up just enough to salute Sabriel in return.]
At ease. Sit down.
What is it?

Sir, I've been a member of RISE since it was first formed. I helped stop Pan, and later arrested him. I helped organize and carry out the mission that rescued the captive imPorts, and successful restrained Lucifer in the aftermath of that. [And Sabriel takes a deep breath before she speaks again. Any anxiety she feels isn't evident in her tone now- instead she sounds determined.]
I think I'm ready to take on more responsibilities. I'd like a promotion. [Given Olivier's nature, there's little point in flattery, or beating around the bush before getting to the point.]

That said, I agree that you've acquitted yourself rather well. My misgivings about your youth have proven unwarranted. You're competent.
I could use an official aide, or field commander.

If you're offering me the choice, I'd think working in the field plays to my strengths more. I'd be honored to act as your field commander.
Although if you have concerns about others being willing to treat me as their commander due to my age, that's understandable. [Frustrating, but understandable.]

[She pauses, in thought.] I'll make you my aide to start. That'll put you in at least some measure of authority. And at the moment, there aren't any field ops to command. When the time comes, I'll see how you do in charge.

Is there anything else you'd like to discuss, or should I leave now?

[A pause.] I had nothing else. Any more questions?
