WHERE: Xavier School Dining Hall
WHEN: January 29, 30; all day both days
WHAT: Cass and Callaghan opened up the school's dining hall for ALL imPorts, -- prisoners, diplomats, military, rescuers, even people who were uninvolved and just want the food -- to come in and recover from the ordeal with warm, free food, blankets gathered from god knows where, and each other.
WARNINGS: This should be relatively tame! But please mark your own warnings in the necessary places.

As announced here, Cass and Callaghan have opened up Xavier School to offer food and a resting place to ALL imPorts! The room is kept warm, and there's food and drinks -- non alcoholic! -- and enough space for a bunch of people to sit around and fill their stomachs. The buffet line is stocked with all sorts of food, and Cass is keeping pots of coffee ready for the people who would prefer that, too. There's no junk food, but she stress baked enough to feed a small country while everyone was gone, so there's plenty of pastries and bread to go around as well.

[That sure is Maya with a spread rivaling Kaneda's. Morbid curiosity convinces him to stop and he sits down opposite her at the table, a coffee mug in one hand and a chocolate cupcake in the other. He has indeed been drowning himself in hot bean water all night.]

[Maya doesn't hesitate to loop an arm around Riku's shoulder and pull him into a half-hug.]

Yeah! This is great, right? Eating like champions!

Quick as his reflexes can be he still gets caught off-guard by this and nearly spills his drink -- he sets it down carefully, looking a little alarmed. After a moment he smiles quietly, though.]

I don't know that I'd win any awards with the amount I ate. But yeah. We weren't even gone all that long and I already feel like I haven't eaten something good in ages.

[God, Riku, you gotta be more prepared for hugs! Maya lets him go, giggling gently.]

Right? And Cass's stuff's the best to come home to.

[Honestly, the food's a god send; Maya maintained her transformation for most of the trip, and it's taken a lot out of her.]

[Riku nods, starting to tear the top part of his cupcake off slowly.]

Yeah. She's good. Shoulda seen Sora when she said she had pie.

You didn't record it for me? I can't believe it.

I didn't have to, it's on the network. He barged into the conversation.

Oh. Well, you're forgiven, then.

Heh. All right, then.

[Riku sets down the cupcake, breaking off a bite-sized piece of the 'cap' and eating it slowly.]

Have you been here long?

[Here, as in, eating.]

Mmm, maybe twenty-- why are you eating it like that?

[What the fuck, Riku.]

I don't want to get icing on my face.

[Snort.]

Yeah, I've only been here like, a little while.

Not so. [He's just gonna continue to eat it like that, mostly because she thinks it's weird more than anything. He could have eaten it normally, but now he doesn't want to.]

I feel like I've been here for a couple hours now, actually.

Really? I feel like everything's going by so fast.

[She rolls her eyes, watching Riku eat for a moment.]

And you definitely are weird.

Mm... I feel like that too, honestly. Both at the same time.

[He finishes the cupcake after a moment, dusting any crumbs off his fingers.]

Whatever, Maya. I'm only minorly weird.

Like... thirty. [He's grinning, though.] So seventy percent normal.

[Realistically those numbers should be flipped.]

[Cupcake finished he reaches for his drink, blowing on it gently even though it's cooled down a fair bit by now.]

[Shit. He makes a face, thinking about it, then smiles.]
