WHAT: Cass and Callaghan opened up the school's dining hall for ALL imPorts, -- prisoners, diplomats, military, rescuers, even people who were uninvolved and just want the food -- to come in and recover from the ordeal with warm, free food, blankets gathered from god knows where, and each other.
WARNINGS: This should be relatively tame! But please mark your own warnings in the necessary places.

As announced here, Cass and Callaghan have opened up Xavier School to offer food and a resting place to ALL imPorts! The room is kept warm, and there's food and drinks -- non alcoholic! -- and enough space for a bunch of people to sit around and fill their stomachs. The buffet line is stocked with all sorts of food, and Cass is keeping pots of coffee ready for the people who would prefer that, too. There's no junk food, but she stress baked enough to feed a small country while everyone was gone, so there's plenty of pastries and bread to go around as well.

[ Carl is starting to notice a trend of Dad's choice of associates. It's like he can't really get along with the other adults for some reason, and can only relate to people closer to Carl's age. That makes Carl feel a little sad. ]

Mm. You guys look alike.

[He doesn't really know much about Rick's choice of companions outside of Kaneda and Tetsuo. But he'd be curious about that too, if he were aware.]

He brought me some stuff of yours to work on tracking. Though in the end I didn't need it, since you guys were already out when we arrived.

[ Carl . . . doesn't know what to say to that. He's always been told he more closely resembles Mom. But Riku doesn't know Mom, so the point is sort of moot. ]

Yeah. It was pretty wild. I don't think any of us were expecting our powers come back as they did.

[resipiscent]

Really, though. Well, you guys did a good job, especially after being there that long. ImPorts are pretty tough.

[He sits back up a little, picking up his drink.] Trying to figure out where to go was pretty tough, though.

[ Carl frowns and puts away his fork. ]

How did you guys found us?

[resipiscent]

It was a group effort. To be frank, I didn't really have a role in that part of things. What I did was help take the vehicles we'd need, those kinds of things. I'm a fighter more than an investigator. But there was a lot of comparing clues and making lists of things.

Good thing we got mental access to the networks, huh? Otherwise it might've been harder.

[resipiscent]

I think it would have been really hard without it, yeah. We almost wouldn't have any clues.

[112ounces]

Hmm. Yeah, I'm ... glad it turned out the way it did. I don't regret a thing.

[ That's what Carl tells himself, anyway. ]

[resipiscent]

I don't blame you.

[He nods, uncertain as to how he wants to say what he's thinking.]

I feel like... in a situation where you've been kidnapped, or you're in danger, then... anything goes.

Pretty much. It could've been a lot worst, true, but we made it happened that it didn't. That matters.

[resipiscent]

Yeah.

[He leans his chin into his hand quietly, eyes falling shut for a moment.]

I'm glad that everything went... okay. I mean, outside of being held hostage and all that. Everyone's back in one piece, for the most part.

What do you mean the most part? What happened?

I just mean, besides injuries and stuff. Hopefully nothing worse.
