WHERE: Xavier School Dining Hall
WHEN: January 29, 30; all day both days
WHAT: Cass and Callaghan opened up the school's dining hall for ALL imPorts, -- prisoners, diplomats, military, rescuers, even people who were uninvolved and just want the food -- to come in and recover from the ordeal with warm, free food, blankets gathered from god knows where, and each other.
WARNINGS: This should be relatively tame! But please mark your own warnings in the necessary places.

As announced here, Cass and Callaghan have opened up Xavier School to offer food and a resting place to ALL imPorts! The room is kept warm, and there's food and drinks -- non alcoholic! -- and enough space for a bunch of people to sit around and fill their stomachs. The buffet line is stocked with all sorts of food, and Cass is keeping pots of coffee ready for the people who would prefer that, too. There's no junk food, but she stress baked enough to feed a small country while everyone was gone, so there's plenty of pastries and bread to go around as well.

All had hoped for. He met me at the airport and promptly insisted I not move from the couch for a single thing afterward. Made me dinner and everything.

Not as much as you are thinking. Alas. I was well and truly sore, not to mention exhausted.

Yeah. I can believe it, actually.

[ Her lips curl up in a sympathetic smile, and she half-laughs: ]

You really look like shit.

It's the stitches, isn't it? I'm told it will be a truly ferocious scar at the end of all this. I'm kind of pleased.

What - you want scars?

I hardly seem a proper admiral without one.

[rathercommon]

Ooh, right, yeah. And should we get you a parrot while we're at it? To complete the picture?

[dendarii]

A parrot? Why?

[ Alas, the reference is lost on him. ]

What - don't tell me the future has lost the image of the swaggering pirate captain.

Oh no, we have those. Scarred and mysterious and missing limbs. But I don't see how the parrot fits in.

They're always supposed to have a parrot on their shoulder. That's the most important part, isn't it.

Lies. The scar is most important.

Absolutely not! It's all about the loyal bird companion.

Greg is vaguely birdlike with that nose of his.

[ That startles a loud peal of laughter out of her. She immediately claps her hand over her mouth. Then, she loosens it enough to grin: ]

Unkind! Besides, he's far too big to crouch on your shoulder. You'd topple over in a minute.

You're right. We'd have to be reversed, except he's not the pirate-y type.

No. I see you more as - Oh, you as the charming pirate captain, him as the upright naval officer. The two of you professionally at odds, but interpersonally...
