WHO: Adam Parrish & you!
WHERE: Various.
WHEN: Kind of a catch-all for January.
WHAT: Adam Parrish doing things and looking handsome.
WARNINGS: He's a raven boy, who knows when things'll get bad.

❚❚❚❚❚ a.
[ January brings with it a malaise that Adam is not used to. He wouldn't call it boredom based exactly, but for a boy who has never stopped moving the space beyond the holidays is a struggle. He does his best to keep busy with the news office closed, with the school on vacation, he reads and he takes notes and he works down at Kitty's garage when he can, he visits Henrietta in the forest and tends to his garden. But it just isn't enough to keep his mood from being crappy.

Today is just one of those days.

Adam is on his way back from doing whatever it is he does on a grey afternoon when the heavens decide to open. He sighs as he stares down at the rust bucket of a second hand bike he bought himself ( with his surprising Christmas bonus from the Blotter ) and thinks fondly of the Hondayota sitting outside of St. Agnes back in Henrietta. Mud soaks into his shoes as he pulls it upright and then mounts it, skidding down from the woods and to the main road again.

He makes it at least half way before the chain snaps.

The wheels skid but he manages to at least stop himself from crashing into a nearby store as he dismounts. Staring down at it, Adam's face is blank for a moment before he kicks the wheel viciously.
] Fuck you.

❚❚❚❚❚ b.
[ Another day, but Adam decides to obey the rain outside and stay indoors. Which means he's camped out on the Gangsey couch in his pajamas with a book on his lap.

It's maybe a little more relaxed than he's been in a long time. He has leftover Christmas candy beside him and what he's reading isn't for a class, nor is it due to some kind of betterment. It's a mindless science-fiction book and he can't remember the last time he was even able to just stop and do something for himself. Still, when he hears footsteps in the hall he marks his page and leans over the back of the seat.
]

You don't need to loiter.

❚❚❚❚❚ c.
[ Despite the work he does with Saya at Kitty's adopted garage, Adam still spends his weekends at his original place of employment. He likes the work, fixing cars makes sense to him. And he's getting better at it. Which means sometimes he's left in a position of some authority. Today when the shop door makes a noise, Adam is the one to approach it, wiping oil off his hands with a rag.

It helps that he works in an area now where the rich and lucky don't entirely frequent. Strangers who judge him are few and far between and so he looks even and open.
]

Hey. ]

[ WILDCARD. Pick a scenario to meet up with Adam and just go for it. ]

[ She wrinkles her nose in mock-disgust. ]

Eurgh, pizza, how foul.

[ And then she grins. ]

Sounds brilliant. I'd love it. Pizza, and...Oh, let's watch television. A show about cars. And you can tell me what advice they give on the show is good and what I should ignore.

You better. The boss will get really mad if she finds out how you're slacking off.

[ She reaches up and, with a little grin, fluffs his hair - a sisterly, affectionate sort of gesture. Then she turns away and heads off. ]
