Searching for answers [OPEN]
WHO: Skye and YOU
WHERE: Around Heropa, Residence #031, and local diner.
WHEN: December 7th-12th
WHAT: Skye is trying to get answers as to what happened in downtown Heropa via witnesses and her own totallyillegal research.
WARNINGS: Cursing
Of course things could never go right in her life, but this was a whole new level of fucked up. Her powers had been switched with Jesse's, and while she seemed to have gotten the easier to manage powers, Skye had to deal with the fact that Jesse needed her help in order to try and control hers.
So between helping Jesse, and searching for answers it left Skye with little time to sleep. Which, apparently, wasn't needed anyway thanks to one of Jesse's powers. Although it would've certainly been a lot easier without having that constant buzzing sensation running through her powers.
It wouldn't be hard to find Skye, she was all over town this entire week. Searching for answers, asking witnesses, searching on a computer she managed to swipe. Sometimes she was at her house, but quite a lot of the time she could be found at the local diner, sitting in a corner while sipping on an endless supply of coffee and researching on the laptop.

"I didn't- I just don't understand why. Help me understand." Skye feared what he would do if he left.

"No it's not, Jesse. He's manipulating you." Been there, dealt with that. He was clearly worked up, and Skye remembered how he mentioned a bit how his powers worked. How he could actually calm people down. Skye didn't like the idea of doing such a thing but right now she was pretty desperate to keep him from doing something he'd likely regret.
She remembered how he had touched her hand before he took away her hangover so she assumed it worked the same way to calm him down. God this was going to be weird.
"Jesse, you need to stop before you do something you regret." Skye told him firmly as she tried to subtly reach for his hand, knowing he may stop her if he noticed. Of course she had no idea how it worked exactly, so she could only hope it was as simple as touching someone.

"No." Skye told him firmly, keeping her hand on his. Go-go gadget calm-the-fuck-down? How did this thing even work?
no subject
"I'm sorry," he mumbles, squeezing her hand gently.
no subject
"It's fine." Skye said quickly, hesitantly moving away from the door.
"You're not going to run out on me, are you?" Because she would tackle him if she had to.

"We gotta do something," he murmurs. "Get me outta the city or put me into a coma or something."
no subject
"I'm not going to put you into a coma, Jesse." She told him firmly as she stayed by the door, unsure if he was actually being truthful about not booking it out of the room. "We'll figure it out." Although judging by her voice, she wasn't sure what the hell she could do besides keep him here.

"I could teach you? How I learned to control it."

He draws himself up, leaning forward to look her in the eye. "I'm begging you... If you really wanna help me, then take me outta commission. Put me to sleep and lock me up somewhere. Before I really hurt somebody."
no subject
"And then what? Put you on ice for 70 something years and then defrost you?"

"You just need to find an outlet." Yeah she's not going to give up on figuring out something else for him to do, because knocking him out was just too easy.

He begins texting quickly. A message for Joel: "...what I need." He snaps his cell phone shut.
no subject
"Who were you texting?" If that was his 'best friend' he mentioned earlier she was going to be pissed.

Jesse gets to his feet again, stepping up to Skye. He doesn't need to wait in here. He may not be able to drive anywhere, but he can meet Joel outside.
"There's a place he can take me. I'm asking too much from you, but it's not too much for him. He'll deal with me."
no subject
"You're not going anywhere." He could take it as a threat if he wanted to. "You're upset, and I get it, but I'm not letting you risk your life." Or someone elses, but she leaves that part out.
