this post has too many dogs [open]
WHO: Hawke and whoever!
WHERE: One park in De Chima, De Chima #005, the De Chima farm.
WHEN: Late November
WHAT: Hawke doing Hawke things, this happens to involve way too many dogs.
WARNINGS: n/a
01, who let the dogs out in De Chima
[ As per usual, taking the mass of dogs still living at the De Chima shelter out to play in the nearby park is one of Hawke's favorite parts of her job. No people (not that she hates them, but c'mon), tons of dogs, and a small hoard of tennis balls -- slimy with drool -- to throw. Even off-leash, it's safe enough. They unerringly return with what they catch or, if bored with the game, remain nearby, even when the toys end up in the nearby grove of tree.
At worst, she has to go after to fetch one or two that take to barking at squirrels in there in lieu of returning with the tennis ball, and that much she hardly minds.
Anyway, another month, another batch of dogs making a pretty big clamor when they come and go after whatever she throws. If nothing else, it's entertaining to watch for a bit. ]
02, and then that one dog at De Chima #005
[ Dogs aren't even restricted to her work anymore, as it would so happen #005 has added a new member to the household. Currently still small and incredibly fluffy, Dane is, in spite of the name, not at all the breed someone might assume. So when Hawke goes home from playing with one set of dogs, she has to go about playing with her own, though the variety of fetch they play in the front yard there has a lot more enthusiastic stumbling when Dane goes flying off after the stuffed toy she throws.
While indoors, it's a careful task to not stumble over him instead, the way he's endlessly trying to be underfoot. ]
03, and also dogs at the one farm outside of De Chima?
[ Why are there so many dogs in her life...?
Is she really going to be upset about that, though? No? Of course not.
While Dane's far too young to take on the incredibly long stroll that's required for her to reach Lucy's farm, she certainly doesn't have to worry about the day being dog-free. On top of that, no one at all can ever worry about the mage sneaking up on them while up there, since even the quietest of their dogs -- the older mustachioed one -- immediately begins barking or, if they can, takes off to run up to her the second she's within their range of noticing. While the porter-gifted power of "all dogs love Hawke" helps, she'd like to think it's more attributed to the fact all of these came from the De Chima shelter. She's already a well-known human, one that typically comes with treats. ]
Well, someone sounds like they've missed me for ages.
[ Which, considering how often she visits the farm, must translate into, at most, a week. ]
or something completely different?
[ Want something less full of dogs, not in De Chima, or a specific prompt? Toss me a pm or a pp at
angrybears, let's do a thing! ]

Is your friend a big guy with horns, by any chance?

[ Which is actually very, very strange, but Max doesn't need to know her friend is an odd duck. ]
We'd be talking about the same kind of dragon, then. We're both from Thedas.

Is that on Earth?

[Diagonally, even.]

[ She asks as she idly scratches the ears of one of the random dogs lingering around near her with a head at hand height. ]
