this isn't about being a gentleman
WHO: Aileen, Harlock
WHERE: Unit...5? I FORGET. Unit Home, then wherever. lady's choice.
WHEN: sometime mid-April don't talk to me about dates in a date log it's after hauling Kristoff's snowy butt off on an adventure that's for sure
WHAT: lady's choice
WARNINGS: tbd
He'd returned after an extended trip to much less welcoming circumstances before, but repeated his own movements all the same: boots were dropped carelessly at the door, bag following but a few steps after, landing with a heavy thud and left without a second thought for its contents.
With bare feet padding along the carpet, Harlock meandered down toward the bedroom hall, tugging a jacket off all the while (it was getting warmer every day, it seemed to him; the trip north only made it more apparent). He stopped short a step, catching a glimpse in a room, and backed up. Her fault for having the door open.
"Day off?"

"Day off?"

Its easily the first thing in mind when he peeks in, though, and she can't help the vague sigh from slipping free. What a dork.
"Yes, I'd thought a free day off my feet would do me some good." she says. And its clear looking at the neat little stack of manila folders set at the desk that, ha, off her feet doesn't mean not doing any work in aileen-ese. Still, the one she's been holding on to is set aside to look him over thoughtfully.
"You too, by the looks of it. Or have you finally run out of escapades?" Aileen smiles.

He stopped, shifting his weight to one leg, nodding down at her.
"Guess I'm the same, somehow."

She scooted out her chair to pat the bed -- he'd already found his way in, inviting him to sit gave a direction to go instead of standing about.
"How long has it been since you stayed home, anyway?" A good question. And a hypocritical one too, she's aware.
