WHAT: Very bad decisions in an attempt to do good

Meet me at the northeast corner of the park at 7pm.

[That was all the private text message sent to Lucifer said. It has taken Violet a long time to decide to do it. She knows how dangerous it is but she can't just leave it alone when she has the one tool that can help them catch Lucifer. The panic button Miles gave her a few days ago. It's supposed to be for emergencies and for her own safety but she can't help but think she could do something with it. All she has to do is wait for Lucifer to show up and press the button. Easy.

That's totally why she's standing at the designated spot with her hand in a pocket touching the button while she glances at her watch on her other hand. It's almost 7.]

[People with an agenda would do the creepy thing and appear right behind Violet in an attempt to scare her.

Lucifer has nothing to prove, appearing at 7 o'clock on the dot under a nearby streetlight. There's nothing about him that indicates exactly what he's been up to over the past few weeks. He looks relaxed and mildly interested as to just why he's been summoned.]

I'd ask what you want, but you didn't summon me to make a deal.

[Violet stiffens when he speaks and turns to look at him. She only walks close enough so she can speak to him without shouting. She keeps her hand in her pocket, holding on to the panic button]

Would it work? If I made a deal?

[In contrast Lucifer is the picture of relaxation, though the smile he gives her doesn't reach his eyes.]

That depends on what you want, and what you'd be willing to give up for it.

I want you to stop killing people.

[He raises a hand to his chin, thoughtful.]

And what would you offer in exchange for that?

Depends on what you're looking for.

I guess you'd better have a good offer.

[Not that he expects her of all people to try to make a deal with him. Chilton had been pursuing his ego, willing to do nearly anything in exchange for what he saw as a way to make himself known. This girl doesn't seem the type to try to save the world through one selfless sacrifice.]

[She really isn't. She reaches into her pocket and presses the panic button. She really should have asked Edgeworth how fast the response time is]

I heal, you know. You can hurt me.

[she'll just keep up the ruse for a while]

[His eyes follow her hand into her pocket, and superhuman hearing means the click is heard.

Again he's reminded of why humans are such a waste. For her to presume to summon him, only to try to spring a trap on him. It blew the mind just how little they understood themselves and their place in the universe.]

You know, I don't kill humans because I enjoy it. Everything has a purpose.

And what's that? What's so important that you have to kill people?

[Lucifer just smiles. He has no need to explain himself to her.]

What about whoever you've called here for help? You understand that if I have to kill them their blood will be on your hands?

[his words make her tense and she wavers for a moment]

You can't kill all of them.

[Lucifer takes a step closer.]

If you hadn't called them, I wouldn't have killed any of them.

[she swallows hard and stands her ground]

Then leave if you're that worried.

Why? I'm here now, and I believe people should always see first hand the consequences of their actions.

So go and get yourself arrested, asshole.
