Open Misfire Log!
WHO: Hiro + anyone with a comm!
WHERE: Your comm, courtesy of data-jumping and the server misfire event
WHEN: October 3rd
WHAT: Hiro tries to jump back into his own comm and misses. Badly. Repeatedly. Shenanigans ensue.
WARNINGS: Probably none!
[ The good thing about being able to data-jump is that it makes the commute into De Chima ridiculously easy. Set up two beacons - one in his comm, the other at his work terminal - and just follow that path back and forth. He doesn't even have to think and he's there.
Unfortunately, those beacons are just as dependent on the server update as the rest of the network ... and when the misfires start happening, Hiro's beacons get mixed up too. What should be a big bright arrow pointing to his comm is just complete garbage ... meaning he's going to end up in a whole lot of comms that he shouldn't be before he finally makes his way home.
For those getting the misfire, there's a only a quick ping, like receiving a message, before a very confused teenager's face appears on the viewscreen. He does, at least, keep from going through any data, but that means he has to look out at the surroundings to try and figure out where he is. Which means staring up at whoever's comm he's in now. ]
Seriously? Not again.

I see.
[She does.]
Finish your juice.
no subject
[ He does finish it in a few long gulps. ]
Does Ed live here with you?
no subject
We moved here together! But he went back to Amestris.
Would you like more juice?
no subject
He's gone?
no subject
[She sounds okay. She looks okay. She mostly is. Except when she isn't.]
I have a new roommate. I'm not here alone.

[There are less and less people from Amestris in this world, though. Major Armstrong, then Alphonse, then Mr. Kimblee - not that Winry actually missed him - and now Ed.]
Are you feeling any better?
no subject
[ His blood sugar is much improved, for starters. ]
no subject
[Winry offers Hiro her hand to help him up.]
I don't have any pie but I could make you a sandwich and get you some more juice if you want.
no subject
Both of those sound pretty good. Thanks.

Here you are.
[Winry sets the tray on the coffee table.]
I hope you like turkey. It's what I had.
no subject
As long as it's not peanuts, I'm good.
no subject
[Winry assures him as she sits down in one of the chairs. She thinks Hiro hasn't eaten in days the way he's scarfing his sandwich.]
So, how did you get lost in my comm?
no subject
Network's acting up. I aimed for my computer at home and missed.
no subject
Really? I guess I wasn't paying attention.
[She's been a little withdrawn since Ed went home.]
