Recovery is a form of being grounded, right? [Open Log]
WHO: Tetsuo and YOU
WHERE: Nonah 05/Nonah's Ark
WHEN: Post bike crash through october
WHAT: Karma caught up to him and he's stuck in Nonah 05 for a month. Waiting for your body to heal the rest of the way naturally SUCKS. Boredom, resentment and pain don't make a great combination, but he's down for the count.
WARNINGS: Tetsuo. Copious amounts of Tetsuo. Drugs, threats, all that fun stuff.
[Prompts available on request; for the most part:
Sept 29-Oct 18
Largely stuck on his bed being a wet cat. At some point he'll start meandering out into the living room for TV if no one's out there, but he's not really going far or doing much. Expect a lot of network or texting abuse, possible threats of violence, and probably hurting himself in the attempt to follow up on said threats.
For the curious, he's got a broken collarbone/some ribs; nothing life-threatening but definitely extremely annoying, not to mention painful. While this may take longer normally to heal, he's had some healing done, so we can just assume it'll be pretty much good to go by the end of the month. He might be getting a limiter forced on him at some point during the month.
Oct 18-on
As he starts feeling better, his goal's to be out and around Nonah as much as he can manage (not that much, but you bet he can try). He's supposed to be on bedrest for the month? Well, that's not exactly what he intends to do - just try and make him.
That said, he's not going to be up to doing anything strenuous, which is good for all of us. If you can't find him in Nonah 05, he'll be in the arcade or nearby areas. What are good judgement calls?
Action, audio, video, text, it's all good (update: oct 3 evening until oct 9 Tetsuo's comm is not working)]

Call it morbid curiosity. [ which it also is, to another degree ] And I'm pretty good at finding things--but, like I said, I'd stay out of your way. You're the boss, here.

Fine. You better.
[He clicks off the comm and drops it into his pocket for a the time being as a final answer. If he doesn't have to deal with a bullshit translator to a stupid language, he's not in the mood for it. No distractions - Match The Symbols it is.]

[ Here's to hoping she didn't just sign up for his shit list. In any case, she'll stop talking from there, waiting for his cue, to follow his lead. Like she said, he's the boss on this little quest, and Kasumi plans on making herself as unobtrusive as possible to avoid ending up as a psychic punching bag. ]

She's done what she's said she'll do - stay out of his way. So, when he eventually DOES have to admit that this is a pretty ridiculous thing to try without even trying to use the communicator, she's right there for him to whirl to. It's not asking for help, it's... uh.. demanding she make this a shorter trip.
It has nothing to do with the fact he's already starting to visibly suffer from overexertion and he's somehow lost track of what street he's supposed to be on. Tetsuo's no stranger to streets, but he's only ever known one city before here. And he's no stranger to Maurtia Falls, but..he didn't wander around enough for this.]
Hey.
[He's the one who has to find it. But he can make someone else do at least a little of the boring part. Put it that way, it's a lot more palatable.]
Get over here.
[He has the map half unfolded - the destination, as far as he understands it, is hidden, but not so what he's marked as part of the route there.]
i never hit post smh
So when he calls out to her, she merely folds her arms; her body language defiant but not necessarily meaning to offend, just to convey that while she said she'd stay out of his way, that doesn't mean she's going to let him walk all over her. And speaking of walking, she does make her way over in the next moment, eyes already peering over to the unfolded map before him. And although her natural instinct is to say something quippy like, "Wow, we didn't even walk three blocks before you had to ask for help," she bites it back, if only because she's noticed the exhaustion in his eyes, and in the way he carries himself.
The kid's been through a lot. Sure, "a lot" was basically Terror Tour 2015 along the East Coast, but... still...?
Why did she sign up to do this. ]
Yes? What do you need?
I am so sorry Kasumi
The mission's more important than that. He's got someone waiting on this.]
You know where that is?
[It's also pretty clear that he may have not worked out how to actually be successful as a villain - he's only gotten in about a month's real practice so far. He actually glances up to her as he asks the question.]
no subject
Sure do.
[ She straightens herself up, and glances around to reorient herself in light of this new destination. ]
If you want to get there, going down this way [ and she gesticulates in opposite direction of where Tetsuo's going, but still down the cross street they're on. When she next speaks, she's careful not to outright say that he was going the wrong way. Instead, she frames the directions as more of a suggestion than an outright "Hey bro, you got it wrong." ] would be a quicker. You'd hit Maplebird Lane in a few more blocks.

So he's misidentified something already? Fan. Tastic. He hates this country. He hates this country soooo much. The way Kasumi puts places the majority of his ire on whatever sick fuck named these streets; all she gets is a very frustrated look before he folds and stuffs the increasingly worn-looking map back in his pocket, turns around and starts plodding the other way.]
You better be right.
[He's being a lot more trusting than he thinks he's being; in his mind, she's just another person to demand answers out of, but she could just as easily lead him in circles and vanish before he really catches on.]
no subject
I don't tend to be wrong about a lot of things.
[ As they continue on, she keeps an eye out, looking down alleyways and around corners, just in case some unfortunate thug decides he'd like to try mugging a kid who already looks like he could beat the shit out of you in undisguised anger. ]

A few blocks more, he digs back out the map, playing match the letters and grinning darkly when they match up.
Unfortunately that means digging out more of the map now and staring at it, tracing along with a finger, muttering to himself in an attempt to memorize the route without the help of street signs. It's less main roads from here; more side streets and back alleys if he's reading this right. Most people would rightfully read that as the quest giver not caring if they lived or died; but Tetsuo reads it as better chance to prove himself.
He really, really sucks at finding his way on paper. It's easier to just explore and learn it that way, but no time for that.
Only then does he glance back to where he figures Kasumi is, try to get a read on what she's doing. And, arguably, what's going on in general before he sets back off.]
no subject
So when Tetsuo finally glances back, she's right there with him, maybe a pace or two behind by design, and she continues on along with him when he sets back off. ]
Think you're getting close to whatever it is you're looking for?
