WHO: Tetsuo and YOU
WHERE: Nonah 05/Nonah's Ark
WHEN: Post bike crash through october
WHAT: Karma caught up to him and he's stuck in Nonah 05 for a month. Waiting for your body to heal the rest of the way naturally SUCKS. Boredom, resentment and pain don't make a great combination, but he's down for the count.
WARNINGS: Tetsuo. Copious amounts of Tetsuo. Drugs, threats, all that fun stuff.

Sept 29-Oct 18
Largely stuck on his bed being a wet cat. At some point he'll start meandering out into the living room for TV if no one's out there, but he's not really going far or doing much. Expect a lot of network or texting abuse, possible threats of violence, and probably hurting himself in the attempt to follow up on said threats.

For the curious, he's got a broken collarbone/some ribs; nothing life-threatening but definitely extremely annoying, not to mention painful. While this may take longer normally to heal, he's had some healing done, so we can just assume it'll be pretty much good to go by the end of the month. He might be getting a limiter forced on him at some point during the month.

Oct 18-on

As he starts feeling better, his goal's to be out and around Nonah as much as he can manage (not that much, but you bet he can try). He's supposed to be on bedrest for the month? Well, that's not exactly what he intends to do - just try and make him.

That said, he's not going to be up to doing anything strenuous, which is good for all of us. If you can't find him in Nonah 05, he'll be in the arcade or nearby areas. What are good judgement calls?

[that grin tugs wider until it's threatening to engulf her entire face. this is something she's proud of regardless of who she's speaking with - the people (the things) that caught her were so repulsive that slipping through their fingers and fucking them up later was unfairly satisfying.]

[He hasn't stopped walking once since this conversation started. As they head towards a busy road, the temptation to keep walking is fairly high. He could stop any traffic headed their way, walk in between the rest. It's no big deal, not for him. Even back home, traffic had to stop for them. The only difference now is he doesn't need a bike to take over the road.

Tetsuo isn't walking quickly, but he shows no sign of slowing down. All he does is laugh and keep going, eyes moving forward to watch for ~~targets~~ traffic. Obeying laws is for other people.]

Who cares? That doesn't count!

meanwhile, Hazel unconsciously picks her pace up just a little so that she draws minutely ahead of him. her misadventures on the road keep her from really noting that possibly wandering into a busy street is a bad idea, but it doesn't prevent her from putting herself in position for any scenario. something plows into them now, it's going to tear through her first.]

[Tetsuo's hand tightens on the bag at the shove, and he turns back around to glare at her sharply. There wasn't any real danger of dropping it, but this would be an absolute nightmare to collect again if he spilled it.

At the same time, it hits him that he's found a nerve.

Time to dig this deeper. He does slow down now, even if it's for reasons completely unrelated to traffic.]

So? This isn't a stealth mission in a game, you don't get bonus points for never tipping someone off!

her arms cross over her chest and she meets his glare with an irritated look of her own. as with most things that wind Hazel up, she has no idea she's started down the path to having her usual teasing turned on her.]

She's actually annoyed. For once he's got the upper hand AND she's not asking questions! Tetsuo lets his mouth shift into a vague grin, stopping completely by the sidewalk to cherish this moment. He can get a small revenge for all those hours of victory by suicide...

Now, think. What would getting caught mean to an illegal detective... If she's not working for police, who would she work for?]

the question elicits an even more annoyed expression from Hazel, but this time it's not actually directed at Tetsuo. her lip curls in distaste for a moment and she lets out a quiet 'tch' before spitting her retort out. her 'employer' back home was certainly someone she wouldn't mind never doing a job for again.]

I don't actually need the work, you know.

So why do it?

[Wasn't he going to try to catch the train back to Nonah at some point? He should think about actually crossing the street, huh.

But he's a little too curious now to let this go like that - it's not him she's annoyed at anymore, so there's some story there. Fine. At least he wants to try to get that much - she knows too much about him for him to not find out more, after all.

She'll follow if he starts moving again, right?]

[she will, shoving her hands back into her pockets as she goes. details aren't something that she usually delves into when Hazel's talking to people, especially when she's still playing her lies, so her answer becomes a weird glossed-over variation on the truth. it's more believable that way anyhow, wasn't it?]

It's just something to keep me busy. And...you know, most people can't do anything about it.

[and that wasn't fair. to have these things, these cruel monsters with no care in the world for anything but their own pleasure, manipulate people's lives and to know that they would never be able to find out the cause, let alone fight back against it...even if Hazel weren't trying to delay the purpose of her resurrection, she wouldn't be able to stop trying to do something about that.]

[On the one hand, voluntarily doing work when you CAN reject pretty much all of society and do whatever the heck you want. On the other... any work that allows for carjacking and road trips with corpses is pretty much the kind of work he can understand wanting to do.

He could leave well enough alone and actually ask questions. Or he could be annoying and immature and try to see if he can piss her off.]

[Kaneda's the natural at winding people up; Tetsuo's never been good at it. But he has to try; if he's not going to bring up the unicorns, he'll get his revenge somehow. Even if it does mean stretching for any tiny thread; if Hazel knew what he was trying to do, she'd be right to call the attempt pathetic at best.]
