WHEN: Post bike crash through october
WHAT: Karma caught up to him and he's stuck in Nonah 05 for a month. Waiting for your body to heal the rest of the way naturally SUCKS. Boredom, resentment and pain don't make a great combination, but he's down for the count.
WARNINGS: Tetsuo. Copious amounts of Tetsuo. Drugs, threats, all that fun stuff.

Sept 29-Oct 18
Largely stuck on his bed being a wet cat. At some point he'll start meandering out into the living room for TV if no one's out there, but he's not really going far or doing much. Expect a lot of network or texting abuse, possible threats of violence, and probably hurting himself in the attempt to follow up on said threats.

For the curious, he's got a broken collarbone/some ribs; nothing life-threatening but definitely extremely annoying, not to mention painful. While this may take longer normally to heal, he's had some healing done, so we can just assume it'll be pretty much good to go by the end of the month. He might be getting a limiter forced on him at some point during the month.

Oct 18-on

As he starts feeling better, his goal's to be out and around Nonah as much as he can manage (not that much, but you bet he can try). He's supposed to be on bedrest for the month? Well, that's not exactly what he intends to do - just try and make him.

That said, he's not going to be up to doing anything strenuous, which is good for all of us. If you can't find him in Nonah 05, he'll be in the arcade or nearby areas. What are good judgement calls?

He always gets that shit from Kaneda; he doesn't need to hear it from anyone else. Tetsuo doesn't want to be worried over; he especially doesn't need protection, he doesn't need someone he's known for a month and a half butting further into his life.

What the hell does he know. How can he possibly understand. People don't just care - if they do, not about him. They always have a reason. Thanks to here, he's worked out what Kaneda's is... but he can't figure out Charlie's. And in a way, that unnerves him. It's a reflexive response to past situations just as much as it is to current ones.]

Having people worry about you does't mean you're weak, Tetsuo. I certainly don't think you can't take care of yourself- you obviously spent an entire month out on your own- so that's not what this is about.

This is about one human being caring about the well-being of another. This is about not knowing from one day to the next if we were ever going to see you again. You're a prickly little asshole, but you're a member of this household. That counts for something.

[He's never really been a member of a household. Tetsuo never bothered trying even to claim the room he ended up in. In his mind, it's not his; it's just a place he's staying. There's no decorations on the walls, nothing on the shelves... the only mark he left here's gone with the tarp.

Except... he was a member of a household, once.

Things like that don't have a set time frame. A month, a day, an hour. Doesn't matter. If people decide they want to care, they're gonna care.

[Who cares around here, let's run down the list! Ken tried to kill him, he tried to kill Ken. Kaneda - where to even start with Kaneda - saying they've tried to kill each other doesn't even scratch the surface. And now Bull pulled that stunt.

Charlie's the only person who hasn't done something to him here, and you know what? That's hilarious. It hurts way too much to laugh to do it for long, but he can try. It's not a happy sound.]

The world's never done you any favors, so why should it start now? Why would somebody, anybody, give a shit about someone like you? It's easier to accept being alone and unwanted because how it's always been.

Kaneda sure as hell doesn't get it, and why would he? He's well-liked, strong and capable. After a while it just feels like he's placating you, and that's bullshit. You should be able to do things on your own without him breathing down your neck, right? Screw him.

And Bull's just a big idiot who ruined your fun, drug you back to the place you don't want to be. If he really cared, he would have just left you alone. Every time someone butts in and tries to help, they may as well be saying "we know you can't help yourself, so we're gonna do it for you".

It's really easy to tell yourself "no one understands", "no one suffers like I suffer", and to push people away because of that.

But I've been where you are, Tetsuo. I spent a long time angry at the world and everyone around me, suffering in silence because nobody else could possibly understand and let me tell you, those were the most miserable years of my life.

You and Kaneda came from an absolute shithole, and I've seen firsthand that your powers hurt you, but you're still here. You're still fighting. That alone is a testament to your strength.

But weak or strong, nobody deserves to suffer alone.
