WHO: Pakunoda and Hisoka
WHERE: Some cute restaurant in Maurtia Falls.
WHEN: August 24th, around noon.
WHAT: Continued from here Pakunoda's finally going to go through Hisoka's memories to see just how much he helped Kurapika when he tried to destroy the Troupe.
WARNINGS: Standard Hisoka warning, reading memories (probably?) without consent. Shouldn't get much worse than that, will update if necessary.
Pakunoda makes a point to arrive early. Better to be settled and comfortable before doing this, and doing it in a public place doesn't hurt, either. While she doubts Hisoka will get violent after she goes through his memories, he's still stronger than her in terms of both physical strength and powers. It's wiser to do this somewhere where he'll have to remember any potential consequences for being seen acting... well, like he normally would if there weren't any laws in the way.
She's waited long enough to get this done, and she's not going to allow herself to hold off any longer. Wanting to be considerate of Chrollo's feelings won't do her any good, not when Hisoka's memories of Kurapika could offer so much insight on what happened in Yorknew. This isn't about Chrollo and any bitterness she may feel about his relationship to Hisoka, this is about all of them. And they need to learn exactly what happened.
She'll offer a nod and a small smile once he arrives, "Hisoka. Good to see you."
For once, she can say that and actually mean it.

Though getting violent due to her prying- that's a possibility, but not much of one. He's done well to play nice and it's not often he gets 'mad'. And in all honesty he is kind of expecting something like this to happen anyway. The idea of it has definitely passed through his mind.
Always what's good for the Spider, right? And he knows he isn't, so despite Chrollo's new leanings now, his fondness for Hisoka, it makes sense Pakunoda or the other Troupe members would want to take some precautions.
Still- he isn't completely sure why they're meeting today, but he'd never pass this up- even if he's quite late. It seems more so because she arrived early though.
"Hm." A smirk, lifting his chin a little. "Is it?" His smile widening. He can't tell if that's sincerity or not. But if it is, it's not because she is actually happy to see him. He'll certainly take it as a compliment though, moving to sit with her.
"And you, Pakunoda, so friendly with me now, have you been keeping occupied?"
no subject
Still, she keeps smiling, not surprised that he questioned her greeting. It makes sense for him to be curious, after all. The message did seem to come out of nowhere, and it isn't as if she makes a point to try and spend time with him. Really, it'd be more accurate to say that she usually avoids it.
"It is, actually. It's become clear that you won't be leaving any time soon." With regards to Chrollo, not being ported out again. Though, she's not getting her hopes up for that, either. "Since that's the case, I might as well find out what the appeal is.
We're going to have to try getting along eventually, after all." A pause as a waitress comes over to their table, "I'll start with coffee for now. I still need a little more time to figure out what I want."
no subject
Perhaps that could change here. One day, though they might have to force it. Even then though, was being imprisoned worth it? Hisoka still feels frustrated by it, thinking back.
"Has it now, is that difficult for you?" A smirk, his eyelids low. Of course she was meeting him with Chrollo in mind, he did the same for them to a degree. Though he liked playing with them for his own reasons too. Still, this- friendliness with them, that was always for Chrollo, even before his time here.
"The appeal? From whose perspective?" A cold smirk. "Hm-"
Waitress, a glance.
"Herbal tea- raspberry." And he'll watch her nod, leave, and he looks back to Pakunoda, setting his chin on his hands. "I could show you that 'appeal' but he's rather against me getting intimate with any of you, hm~" A light laugh.
"Oh well~~!"
no subject
"But even if he wasn't opposed to the idea, you're not my type. Hopefully that's not too disappointing."
no subject
"Ah, no, you're not really listening. I said intimate, there are many more ways to be intimate than that."
"Oh- and what is your type?" A chuckle. "For sex anyway." Again, since intimacy is an entirely different thing.
"Don't mistake that as well, I am rather disappointed though."
no subject
A look back at Hisoka, "As for your question, I usually prefer people who are a little more trustworthy. By our standards, at least." 'Our' referring to the Spider as a whole, since their idea of trustworthy, as well as morals in general, is wildly different from society's.
She takes a moment to add some cream and sugar into her coffee, smirking as she stirs it with her spoon, "I guess I'm just old-fashioned that way.
no subject
"Oh? Why don't we be shallow then, physically would you?" By his appearance and strength anyway. He already knows as far as 'trustworthy' goes, he's not up to par. He supposes Chrollo only deals as he does because he knows Hisoka well enough to know what he has the potential of doing. Trusting him- well, you could always trust Hisoka to be Hisoka, Chrollo seems to know that much.
"Old fashioned, would you really describe yourself as that? Are any of us?" As as in, no, not the Spider, though she might take it that way. He means those from that city though. He's not an original member himself, but he did come from there-
though Pakunoda wouldn't know that, so perhaps this will confuse her. He doesn't mind, seeing some venom in her should she snip at him about no longer being a part of that group would be nice. He'll make sure to clarify after too, he's feeling generous right now, which says a lot. He never shared anything with the Troupe about himself. Machi had been right in saying he wasn't the sort to 'associate' himself.

She stares at Hisoka over her cup, eyes narrowing as she listens to him speak. There are many ways she could respond to that... too many, really. But she'll go with the least scathing one for now, much to Hisoka's disappointment. "I would. I certainly am compared to Chrollo, anyway."
She'd never be that interested in getting involved with someone who had been stalking her for years, at least.
no subject
Aww... she didn't fall for it at all. He sighs a little, glancing away before closing his eyes. His chin rests on a hand, elbow on the table.
"He's quite the little rascal, ah, he is very young, isn't he? Younger than he often seems." Though his skin heats saying it, thinking it. His eyes open again but not looking at anything as they stare out the window. A dark sort of expression lingers over his face, and his aura gets a little thick. So young so he has so much further to go, but so far already, nh...
"I'm lucky he's so counter culture, don't you think? Not that I would've pulled away had he lacked the interest." Heee'd would've kept chasing, yep.

You must be very happy about this place. It fixed your broken toy, and gave him even more potential."
no subject
"What's that in your voice I hear?" His eyes slim, craning his neck and edging his face a little closer to her from over the table, not too far though. Just enough so she can really see how his eyes catch the light, the slight twitch in the corners of his smile.
"It fixed, him, made him better, and allowed me to write my name on him, yes, Pakunoda, I'm quite pleased at what has happened to my toy."

"How odd, it's not like you all to disagree on something. I hope I haven't caused any issues."

'Who you love' does odd things to his stomach. So enjoy his silence, Pakunoda, you probably really do. He'll just sip his drink.

"Is something wrong?"

"Which I imagine you might. It's a new feeling for you to experience, isn't it?"

It's different to speak about so openly with others. He's not sure if it's less or more so speaking of it with another spider either.
no subject
"It's understandable." She pauses to take another bite. Chews. Swallows. "Actually loving someone for the first time can feel strange, even a little overwhelming. That's how it was for me, anyway."

constant.
It feels almost necessary now.
The only thing that has ever been necessary to him was his own pleasure and now that was getting muddled with keeping someone else pleased as well.
no subject
And she's not particularly interested in causing a scene today.
no subject
"I'm still interested." Of course he is.

Pakunoda quickly moves her hand across the table to grab onto his own. Her smile grows a touch wider, and if Hisoka uses gyo, he'll be able to see her aura surging and flowing around her. "What else did you keep hidden from him in the past? What did you try to hide from all of us?"
no subject
Her aura flares and he knows what her touching him is. It's what made her even more valuable to the Troupe. Touching him to pry into him and it gives him a shiver, staring back at her with this near smile on his face.
"Do I have anything to hide?". Hell say, but knows she can see it. Everything concerning her question.
What he has to hide, he's always chased Chrollo. But they all knew that. But what isn't known is he led Kurapika to them at the start. He is the reason they were ever found by the chain user. Hisoka knew that Kurapika wished for their deaths too, though he hadn't known about the chains at the start. He informed Kurapika of the auction before Kurapika had developed Nen after all.
But he's the indirect reason to their deaths. To the breaking up of the months, the broken Legs. But it was never to have Chrollo captured as he was. That didn't go according to plan. He had wanted Kurapika to scatter them, so he could swoop down and have the Leader to himself finally. Well, either scatter them or die trying to. He saw how devoted Kurapika was to this, perhaps even the potential of where that rage could take him. But he could never know how perfectly he would develop his powers to dispose of them.
But, when he did scatter them and get Chrollo alone, it happened as it was, no Nen. And then he searched for that exorcist and while Chrollo could gain his powers back, he was left with that Nen beast on him until something else could be done.
And then they were here. Together. And while Chrollo had his Nen back and no Nen beast on him, he had so many pages that could be filled and that's what led to more and more time together.
A trade they made and yes, still then he felt nothing for Chrollo like he does now. Not until it kept continuing. And that toy...what Chrollo was.
It became something precious. Something he wanted to keep in a new way. He had always wanted to kill the Troupe Leader or be killed by him, but that was out of obsession for him. He still is. But in a new way. He's only fine with killing Chrollo now because in this world... He'd get to have him back.
Pakunoda will see a range of things he hides. From how he was who told Kurapika about them before. Led him to them. But also how little he really told Kurapika after that.
She'll see how far he's fallen for Chrollo as well. Further than he's been open about. Their intimacy now, how often, but how it's no longer purely physical as it started. How he spends periods of time laying next to him, watching him sleep. Content with it.
Some stalker yes, terribly so. And while he hardly regrets leading to her and Uvo's death... There is regret there. Hidden. If only regret for causing Chrollo to feel the sorrow he does for them both.
But all this could not matter anymore, right? She could sweep parts she wanted to. Make Hisoka forget it all, or even... Just forget how much he loves that man. And then it would fall apart on its own, right?
no subject
She's quiet as the memories rush to the surface all at once. All the things Hisoka did, what it lead to, how he feels... it's fascinating, as it usually is. And useful. She hadn't expected to see the gentler moments, or the genuine things he felt. She's even surprised by that regret, even if it's only because of how it affected Chrollo. Pakunoda lets go of his hand - she has what she came for.
Hisoka didn't tell Kurapika much of anything after that, it's true, but he still lead him to them. Which resulted in both Uvo and herself dying, and Chrollo losing his nen. Even if that wasn't what Hisoka had wanted to happen, even if he wasn't the one conjuring those chains, there's no denying the role he played in all of this.
She exhales softly, and takes another drink of coffee before speaking up again.
"I won't tell him right away. I'll give you about a week to enjoy some time with him. You made him happy, so I'll allow you that much out of respect for it." She may be many things, but never let it be said that she isn't fair.
no subject
"A week?" Implying you'll say anything at all, are you going to take this from him? He can't really have that...
"And then?"
no subject
no subject
No, he wouldn't tell him, doesn't want to either, the idea makes him sick, as does the idea of her telling him too. But of course that would be her next step. Still, this... what she would tell him, did it matter? Should it? Chrollo knows what he is, is aware of the possibilities...
"I wouldn't want to take your moment of triumph from you." He'll stand, stepping out and away from the booth. He sets a hand on his hip and glances dryly over his shoulder.
"You people, you're always like this." Turning to face away.
"I've lost my appetite. Good bye."
no subject
"Enjoy the rest of your week."
