While technically Abigail is unsure of how old she is -- there are too many missing months between Baltimore and Heropa and more between Heropa and Heropa -- nineteen is close enough and probably makes up for those missing months. Maybe.

But like Jeff said, it's foolproof.

She huffs and puffs about no party, but then Will made that face and she begrudgingly gave in so long as it was just a cook out and there were no streamers or balloons. Which is why the backyard is decked out with fairy lights and Chinese lanterns and a piñata in the shape of a llama, which she is not complaining about, and another in the shape of a bumblebee, which she vaguely protests because bees are good!

Cheeseburgers and hot dogs and chicken and other assorted barbecued meats are on the grill, there are bowls of macaroni salad, potato salad, pasta salad, regular salad, and a truly ridiculous amount of grilled veggies on the table out back. There are coolers full of soda and probably beer, tbh. The other alcohol is inside so the youths won't get it, presumably. At least that's what they're going with. Somewhere in the kitchen is a cake with candles.

Also there are dogs. And raccoons, both adult and funsize. And an impossibly fluffy cat who thinks she's a raccoon by now. But that seems to be the norm at the Ludgate-Graham home.

It's your birthday, of course I did. [ She's just glad - people who don't like music freak her the hell out. ]

That's amazing. [ She thinks it must be great to live here. It's pretty and there are so many fluffy things lolling around. ] Though do you ever get to finish your own meals without having to share?

Not often. But one of my powers is making breakfast from pretty much nothing, so there is always bacon on hand to distract them if I'm really hungry.

[ Clary looks over at that. ] Seriously?

[ Breakfast food on a whim? She's jealous. ] Wanna be besties? I'll get you a friendship bracelet and everything.

Sure. [ and she'll reach behind her for a plate of someone's crusts and after not even a second, the plate is full of steaming, crispy bacon coated in a sheen of grease, a pile of delicious looking sausage patties, a small stack of blueberry pancakes, glossy with melted butter, and just the right amount of syrup poured over everything.

she holds out the plate for clary with a satisfied, slightly smug, look. ] My favorite colors are blue and green.

Oh my god.

[ She is totally eating that bacon, time of day be damned. ] You sure you don't want to move into the city with me? I can pay you. Not in like real money or anything, but monopoly money is all the rage.

[ abigail doesn't know why this is the most popular power in the world, but she likes the reactions it gets anyway, laughing at clary's exuberance. ]

And leave all the animals? Who would give them bacon for breakfast?

[ Faking a giant sigh. ]

Fine. I guess I'll have to pitch up a tent in your garden. Will won't notice, right?

He might. And then he'll make you up a room in "Will and April's Home for Wayward Teens and Jeff" and invite you to breakfast.

[ things she is 100% sure would happen if clary camped out in the backyard. ]

You know that's not actually a discouragement, right? I barely speak to my roommates at the moment. And I have to fend for myself at breakfast time.
