War: Horsemen of the Apocalypse Log #2 - 3rd to 5th June
WHO: War and YOU!
WHERE: Everywheeeeere!
WHEN: 3rd to 5th June
WHAT: Second part of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse Plot. This means War! Time for grumpiness, arguments, fighting and all out war between friends and foes as the War ring takes it’s hold. Spread via close proximity to the ring, this can be caught at any of the main hero cities throughout the stated dates thanks to a well travelled lawyer and his camera crew. Characters affected by the ring’s power will first feel levels of irritation, which will give way to all out paranoia, temper tantrums and violent tendencies only hours later.
WARNINGS: Possibility for extreme violence, death and other potentially disturbing scenarios. Please state in headers if you believe there to be anything extra needs to be warned about.
It starts with little more than a thought. That little niggling feeling in the back of your mind when you know it’s going to be a bad day. You can’t quite put your finger on where it came about or why, but it’s not hard to notice a rise in irritation. Someone coughing too loudly, some idiot cutting in front of you on the sidewalk or in a car, even your best friend telling a joke that suddenly sounds like it might be a personal dig at you: it’s all enough to set you on edge. You might try and ignore it, but little by little that aggression starts bubbling to the surface, weighing you down until you just want to snap.
It’s okay to let your thoughts be heard! Better to say what you think than keep them bottled inside. Better to get a little physical than leave yourself unheard. So maybe you were a little rude to someone. You might have even punched a guy just for walking nearby, but it’s to be expected. It’s their own fault.
But those feelings don’t stop no matter how much you yell and shout, or how determined you are to silently brood and glare. Soon it becomes apparent that someone is out to get you. It could be those guys who have been staring you down, or that friend of yours that’s obviously been stabbing you in the back. Maybe it’s those spies that have been sneaking around your apartment complex, or the Walkers that have slowly started to shuffle their decaying bodies through the streets. Whoever or whatever it is, you know that it’s up to you to get rid of them! It may be an idea to team up, after all there’s plenty of others out there who you could form a strong alliance with to help right the wrongs and fight the evil, but if there isn’t you know you can go it alone and still win.
Try to find a weapon or get yourself to a vantage point. Anything that will help you win this war!
Just try to save some for the rest of us.

[ Ringing in his ears, he stopped, and went stiff, his body stopped, taut, like a system rebooting. He could practically see it, the error, the one that meant that his body and mind were in disconnect. It was a simple matter, really, initiate reboot sequence --
Get things working again. Jury-rig the code until he could take a moment to get it back to normal.
It was seconds, really, but long enough. His helmet was dented. ]
Of course I am! But you aren't -- you're too focused on what you don't like about me that you're not thinking about what you're not doing -- do you really not care about the people down there you could've killed?
[ He might not be able to move, but dammit -- he can still talk. ]

It's like a Kryptonite-packed punch to the face, but it doesn't last too long. Confusion clouds her mind and trying to straight out her thoughts strains her. She covers her ears, wincing. ]
This... I didn't...
no subject
You didn't what? Weren't thinking? Or is this...?
[ He didn't know if it was, but he could figure it might be another import thing. This wasn't like Power Girl, at all. ]
no subject
Stop... messing. With. My. Head!
[ She pushes past the pain, the confusion clearing finally. ]
Who the hell are you? You're clearly not Stark.
[ She doesn't wait for an answer and zips after him, ready to kick him down into the ground. ]

I--Oomph --
[ Even through metal, it hurt, and it hurt even more when the suit slammed into the concrete, leaving a deep indent. ]
no subject
Who are you?!
[ If she sounds paranoid, it's because she is. ]
There's no way the real Tony Stark could get into my head like this! All of this is some kind of trick, isn't it? The people? Maybe even that thief from before?
no subject
[ Now he just sounded confused. ] You saw the thief get away. How the hell could he suddenly suit up out of nowhere?
[ He let the mask go, let it be peeled off like it wasn't stuck there. No need to force his suit closed, right? He'd heal. He choked, audibly, and looked her right in the eye. ]
Nobody but me can pilot this suit, now give me the faceplate back, and try not to harm any civilians this time.

[ It's hard to make the connections when everything feels out of focus one second and then hyper-focused the next. When she sees Tony's face she forces herself away, a few feet in the air. Her chest heaves up and down. ]
At the very least you're not going anywhere for a while. Don't come near me again!
[ She takes off, not sure she wants to keep looking for that thief from earlier. What she needs is to recuperate, get as far as possible from whoever is targeting her mind and then strike back twice as hard. ]
