WHAT: Roommates, chilling. Gaara is lucky enough to see Illumi in his true form. Illumi is lucky enough to meet someone who also doesn't have pupils.
WARNINGS: Illumi is a creep (that's its own warning).

[It's unusual for Illumi to be wearing his own face, especially in the home he shares with three complete strangers. Perhaps if one of them wasn't a Nen user from his homeworld, it wouldn't feel so necessary as a twenty-four-seven precaution, but it's best not to be recognized. The Zoldycks are infamous, in their way, and even if he knows himself to be less recognizable than-- say-- his father, he doesn't want to deal with any clash of morality. At best, it's a bother. At worst, it could hamper his plans to make nice with the other imPorts and see if any of them want to hire him for his real talents.

Unfortunately, Gitta is not an all-the-time disguise. With the aid of his needles, Illumi can hold that beautiful face for long hours, but sooner or later it will start to feel stiff. His unnatural motions will become even more disjointed and unpleasant, the skin on his face begins to feel like it's sloughing off, his articulation loses its edge. So, he has to give himself a break, and while he could dig himself a hole in a local park, his needles need polishing and the apartment is where all his nice stuff is.

Let his roommates come in. If it's Kite, they can have a Little Talk should he somehow know who Illumi is (which is rather doubtful to begin with). If it isn't, then-- hey. Who cares? Either way, Illumi's hard at work keeping his tools nice and shiny. Pointy. Lethal.

[Gaara eyes those needles again. ...they definitely look too big and gaudy to be really useful in combat. Most people who use needles back home prefer small and unnoticeable. Did he jump to conclusions? ...maybe. He's really on edge here, after all, and knowing that one of Naruto's friends lives here also has kicked his protectiveness into overdrive.] And your ally? [Because 'ally' isn't the same as 'friend.']

[That isn't even dishonest, considering he and Gittarackur happen to be the exact same person. Funnily enough, Illumi has yet to kill any customers, even if he takes on surprisingly few. The money is all right. Would be better if he showed up more often, but aiding people isn't his forte.]

I don't believe everything you've told me, but I don't have any evidence to the contrary. [Hey, at least he's up-front about it. And apparently intending to lecture this guy who is not only a stranger but also likely older than him.] If you're going to have more allies walking around in this house, tell your housemates first.
