[OPEN] One Armed Bandit
WHO: Kite and YOU!
WHERE: Martia Falls, and the Passione Casino
WHEN: Evening of 4/15
WHAT: Slot machines and also Kite is like Snow White or something, where did all these animals come from...
WARNINGS: None so far.
a; slots at the passione casino
[Kite had a lot on his mind. There was a lot of unfinished business back home that, even if he weren’t here, he wouldn’t have been able to finish anyway. Because as he reached out for his second small glass of liquor, he recalls the sharp and sudden pain of having his arm torn off.
There was more than that too, and the memory of the chimera ant’s aura alone is enough to send a chill up his spine, let alone the fight. The raw and sheer power of that creature. Even his best weapon and all his years of experience hadn’t been more than enough to scratch it.
Taking a sip of his drink, Kite’s perpetually stoic expression remains as such even with his buzz, and even as he reaches out to pull the arm of the slot machine. There’s an atmosphere of wanting to be left alone about him, but he’s really not as cold as he looks. He could do for some company instead of mulling over what he couldn’t change--over his own weakness, in a sense. There was some comfort in knowing his judgement was right, but that was all. He was still worried over a lot of things, and he could only hope that he had bought enough time for Gon and Killua to escape.
As roulette spins and lands on three of the same, sparse winnings pouring into the collector below, he only has one thing to say:] Hm...bad roll.
b; around martia falls with a kitty
[Back outside after spending most of the night in the casino, Kite lets out a long sigh as he tugs the brim of his hat down, trying to recall where the Porter was again. In retrospect, maybe he shouldn’t have come all the way out here just the gamble, but he was still getting settled in and needed something to do.
While he stands there lost in thought with a hand on his waist, a full grown cat passes by to purr and rub its side against his leg. Despite the bad week, he finds himself looking down and then crouching to reach out and pet the animal. At the same time his other hand comes round to search for a collar, but there is none.]
Pretty friendly for a stray… [Abandoned, then? That or it was an outdoor cat, or perhaps a restaurant owner’s favourite uninvited guest. At any rate, it seemed to be well kempt.]
c; the cats are multiplying
[Kite is walking again, but he's not alone now. The cat is following him still, and this time two more have joined it.
You know, he--
Has mixed feelings about cats suddenly.]
d; wildcard
[For anywhere around Martia Falls or the Passione Casino. Kite plays other games besides just the slots!]

Sokay
"It's not often I'm not 'fine'. But maybe you've just caught me on a good day." A feline like smile. Dice, 5-2-6. Brows up. He smile, feeling the dice a little in his hand.
4-5-6.
"Oh!"
no subject
"Perfect...," he blinks a little in surprise, eyebrows raised again. That put them at 5 to 7. Things were getting pretty close.
2-4-6.
4-4-1. "...Tch. Looks like I'm the one making bad rolls now."
no subject
Hisoka licks his lips, subtle at least, looking back down and picking up the dice.
2-1-6.
"How about the winner buys a drink no matter what? While the loser owes the favours." 4-5-1. 2-3-5.
2-2-5. A smirk, though he hides it for the most part.
"Seven to six, your favour, hm?"
no subject
"I'll decide if we get to that." As it is, Kite has no idea what he'd ask. He'd probably just hold it as an IOU.
1-1-4. His lips pull into a frown.
huhu
"Ooh close to the worst!" Moves to knock on the wood of the table. He smiles, sticking out his tongue a little.
1-2-3----
No they keep rolling and stop. 1-5-6. 1-3-6!
A small whistle.
"The tension is hiiigh~" 1-1-3!
"Bubuuu. All that suspense for nothing." Puffs out a breath through his nose. That makes them eight to Hisoka's six.
no subject
1-1-2. His next roll proves as much. "Damn...bad roll."
no subject
Dice snatched. Fast. He rolls. 6-1-2.
1-1-6.
A smile. No, a grin.
"Eight to seven."
no subject
2-3-5.
5-6-1.
2-2-1. The only roll worse than this was an automatic loss. They were really neck-and-neck now.
no subject
"Ah, it seems your luck as turned on you, or perhaps I'm speaking too soon?" Rolls. 5-5-4.
"Or not." A fox like smile.
"I believe that's a tie?"
no subject
Taking the dice again: 2-5-6.
5-1-2.
2-3-4.
6-6-1. Kite tugs the brim of his hat down at this one. "Again..."
no subject
1-2-4 for his first roll. 2-1-2!
"Neither!" A small clap. "No points. See? Don't be so dramatic."
no subject
"I'm not being dramatic." That's just how he always acted, and now it was time to get things rolling:
3-1-4.
1-1-3. "Hmph, another bad roll."
no subject
3-5-6.
2-5-5!
"A shame. Well the tie is broken." A huff through his nose. 9-8!
no subject
Unfortunately, this important roll was as weak as his last one: 2-2-3. Then again, his last one had still won.
no subject
Mmm...
Rolls.
3-6-3.
"Again we meet." A low lidded gaze. 9-9.
no subject
One last roll.
1-1-2.
His lips twitch. "...Damn." Talk about going out with a whimper.
no subject
6-6-3.
Who knows.
"Cha-chang! We have a winner!" Favours! He's beginning to enjoy winning favours. Is that now, seven left from Josuke, and a new ten from Kite? Of course, only ten minutes. But a lot can happen in ten minutes...
no subject
"Looks like you're buying me a drink," plus the whole favours thing. Oh boy, what has he gotten himself in to?
no subject
He should probably get back to work though.
Mmmmnnn....
A sigh.
Feigning responsibility is annoying enough, but actually being responsible is brutal.
"Your poison then?"
no subject
"Anything's fine," Kite wasn't picky, but the alcohol really wasn't what he cared about right now. "So what do I owe you?"
no subject
"Anything, really?" A brow raise.
"Ten favours." Said as he moves around from behind the card table. "Each for ten minutes."
no subject
"What?" Kite's lips pull into a stern frown, his eyes intense and an aura to match. "That wasn't the bet. You get one favour."
no subject
"I won ten times, didn't I?" Pout.
no subject
no subject
"Is it that much of an issue? I didn't know you could be so easily challenged."
