We can just be people with extra talents who get called in when the bridges break. But in practice, we're getting interwoven into a tapestry of discrimination and mistreatment of common people. Of xenophobia, paranoia, and aggression.

I wish we could just be good. I wish we could bring about only good things. But there doesn't seem to be a world that exists that'll look at the powerful and not just see a wicked opportunity.
