[ One thing kaneki doesn't like is to be surprised. He has grown to become VERY paranoid and even if he is trying to relax, his senses still tell him when someone is approaching. He hears Josuke's footsteps, but he doesn't imagine it'd be someone reaching for him, so when the hand touches his shoulder, Kaneki's eyes probably flicker between surprise and the sudden need to pull out his fangs and bite away (metaphorically, ok).
But when he realizes who it is, his eye goes wide. He hasn't been actively avoiding people (if he was, no one would ever see him) but he has also decided not to contact anyone just yet as he gathered his thoughts. He KNOWS Josuke saw it, and he knows Josuke was pissed off at what Suzuya did; but he also knows Josuke needs to know the truth and Kaneki still wasn't sure how to tell him the truth.
Well. not that it was a secret. Between Suzuya's post and the file leak, he certainly figured it out but it's not fair if Kaneki doesn't tell him with his own mouth.
The surprised expression Kaneki has on his face vanishes soon and is replaced with an apologetic and tired smile ]
