Rei has got an apron on already and some ingredients laid out for a simple enough chicken curry recipe. Rei actually hasn't made it himself before, but from the directions he knows he can, and Gon should be able to, as well.

Once Gon arrives, he gestures at all the ingredients laid out.

"Are you ready to get started?"

"Ah-huh," he says. Slumping his backpack and jacket close to the kitchen door, he crosses over to Rei keeping a cautious eye on the apron. Even after multiple sessions, he's still reluctant. Still, he puts it on, if only to stop any potential arguments. It wasn't really worth the trouble.

The apron hangs low on him, reaching about his knees. It looks clumsy on him-a mirror of his cooking skill, perhaps. While not atrocious, cooking was far from a natural gift.

Peeking over the counter, he surveys the spread of ingredients with slight awe before looking up at Rei. "What are we making?"

Rei does watch as he takes the apron and puts it on, nodding once in satisfaction. He's glad that Gon is starting to appreciate the value of proper kitchen attire (or at least is sick of arguing with him about it).

"Chicken and vegetable curry. I haven't tried this recipe yet, so we'll both be learning."

He puts a hand to his chin in thought. "Hm... we should probably decide how spicy to make it before we start."

"Super spicy!" Gon declares happily. Leaning further over the counter, he waggles his head, searching for the right ingredient. It's hard to spot when he's still learning; his search ends with no results. Pulling back, he looks up at Rei.

"How do we do it?"

"Here." He pushes a bowl, some coconut milk, and curry paste toward Gon. "Start by mixing those up together."

He gets chicken out of the fridge and starts setting it out on a plate. "I'm going to start with the chicken while you do that."
