[ Anavha's been here.... he's not quite sure how long. Awhile now. It's hard to keep track when he refused to leave his room for most of the time.
Anavha was living in a world of denial for quite some time now. None of this could be real. This couldn't be his life. Days before arriving in this world, he had been a simple house husband. He had done all he could to please his wife. He had been a good husband. It was all he had in life, so he prided himself on that. Then life had been upturned when Tanasai came to the home and Nataniel stole him.
Oma... he'd almost prefer either of them. That's how messed up everything felt anymore. At least that world was familiar. Those dangers were known. Here Anavha stumbled over the simplest of things.
So he had done the only thing he knew how to do. He had curled into himself and locked himself away from the world. It had been a good plan. Until the night of the dreams. Dreams of so many strange places and worlds. Anavha had been scared he'd some how ported in his sleep to other worlds he'd never be able to comprehend. Then he'd woken up in Heropa, as he always did. Then Anavha had learned they were just what they appeared to be: dreams. It was whose dreams they were that had shocked him. The dreams of others. Of people in this city.
After coming to terms with that realization, Anavha decided to venture out into the city. Dressed in his only clothing, his garter, belled pants, and cloak, Anavha took his dogmount with him onto the streets. He kept his hood over his head, he looked terrible these days, but he wandered slowly through Heropa. He hoped, possibly, he might be able to find someone he had met in a dream... ]

He does his best. But even at that, eventually his head will start to hurt, the light will seem to bright, and there's too much to take in. His biggest fear is getting lost here. It's almost happened a couple of times, leading to a real sense of panic that he'll ever go somewhere that he can't find his way back from.
Today, he's not lost. He's very carefully sticking to the paths he knows. He hasn't gotten far, however, when he sees the man on the dog. At least, he thinks it's a god, but it's bigger than a person. Fear sparks in Grey's eyes, and he jumps instinctively away from it. He casts an uncertain look the man riding it. It seems more like the size of a horse, and Grey only needs to take a look at its teeth before he decides it's not worth it. His face very clearly says Help! Why are you riding something like this? It'll take his arm off the minute it gets a chance. ]

He sees the one someone in particular acts, though. He seems to be trying to shy away from the dogmount, even looking afraid of it. At first, Anavha starts to tag the mount away from the boy to spare him the discomfort.
Then he sees that face. ]
You. [ He breathes out. He's pulling the dog to a halt before climbing off him, almost stumbling off. He leaves the mount standing there obediently, coming over Grey with wide eyes and staring at him. ] I know you...
You're the boy from the dream.

[ At first, Grey only really focuses on the dog, and the fact that it’s stopping beside him. His nerves are on edge and his muscles tense instinctively, in case it attacks him. It’s nothing like the affectionate little cats in Newt’s house, or the friendly dogs that Jonathan had shown him in the pet store. It’s huge. He’s trying to decide whether to stand his ground or flee when the rider jumps down, and –
The boy from the dream? Grey’s eyes widen, startled, and he stares at Anavha. He doesn’t remember dreaming about anyone who looked like this.
But…but those eyes. He remembers them. The beard is strange, but the eyes, and the face beneath the beard, they’re familiar. Suddenly, the name ‘Anavha’ skates across Grey’s cheek like a moving tattoo. It’s there and then it’s gone. He’s been looking for Anavha ever since he’d discovered that April really had been in his dreams. Surely that meant that the other dream, with Anavha, was real too – but he had never met Anavha before. Now he can’t quite believe it. Anavha had not looked like this in the dream.
Despite that, he grabs hold of Anavha’s arms to look closer at him, eyes searching his face as if to make sure of what he’s seeing. Can it really be him? ]

But Anavha nodded. ] Anavha. Yes.
I... I dreamed of you.
You remember me?

Yes. He remembers the dream, he remembers everything. Letting go, he grabs for his phone and rushes to type, before pushing it into Anavha’s hands. ]
