At 8:45 PM, the message goes out across all the Import devices. The Manipulator is back, out in public, and threatening to take six people down with him if the Import heroes don't try to grant his only wish-- to be destroyed permanently.

Who will live? Who will die? And will the Manipulator finally face justice- or oblivion?

Her head tips as she thinks about it. At home, yes, she was incredibly valuable, that's why Hannibal kept her alive and hidden for three months, though in a different way. No one knew she was there, the whole world assumed she was dead.

Here?

Well, she can't be that valuable, since Hannibal isn't answering her texts or the Manipulator's call to arms.

"No, I doubt it."

[crabcake]

Rampage laughs a bit at that. "This plan gets more questionable by the second."

He moves to settle down in a seat. "Well, hopefully one of us is worth something, or I suspect none of us is walking out of here alive."

That's a lie, because he knows he'll be walking out of here alive. Immortality is pretty good for that.

[lurings]

"Or someone will give him what he wants and actual kill him."

She doesn't seem overly fussed with the idea. He wants to die and she kept up enough on the network to realize he put a hell of a lot of effort into trying to do it himself but it had all ended badly.

All he needs is a little help.

Perhaps the execution could use some work, pun unintended, but everybody needs help sometimes.

[crabcake]

"One can hope, I suppose." It's not entirely clear whether he means their captor can hope to achieve his goal, or if the captives can hope he dies. Possibly he means both. After all, he does have some sympathy for the plight of the immortal who seeks death.

"Really, what he should have done was acquire a dedicated nemesis."

[lurings]

"Like an enemy just for him? Don't they just keep battling forever, though. He wants to die, not to fight it out all the time."

That doesn't make sense to her, but then again, she grew up with superheroes being fictional and in movies looking like Chris Evans.

[crabcake]

"If you do it right, your nemesis will do everything in his power to find a way to kill you." He gives a little shrug. "And if he fails, at least you've got company for the rest of your miserable life."
