WHO: Fetch and Delsin (closed), and Fetch and you!
WHERE: Heropa
WHEN: First week of November.
WHAT: Moving and being a punk.
WARNINGS: Pink.
CRAPPY APARTMENT, UNIT F | CLOSED TO DELSIN
[A few trips, some boxes of junk, a sofa and a mattress later, the move is all done. On Fetch's part, anyway. What was marketed as a one bedroom apartment is more like a studio with a tiny bathroom that held only a shower and no tub, an ancient looking toilet, and far too little counter space, but Fetch thinks it's not too bad given the cost. The mattress she took from government housing (they can try to take it back if they want) has been shoved into a corner and sectioned off by her boxes and messy heap of clothes. The living room area consists of Delsin's sofa, and that's about it as far as furniture goes.
Thank god it came with some appliances.]
It's like camping.
[With a roof. And toilet. And a strange new-living-space smell despite the paint being a little chipped here and there.
The carpet is new, at least.]
AROUND HEROPA | OPEN
[As fun as it is to tag and pin it on Delsin, Fetch does like to do her own art. With no regard to what anyone strolling the sidewalk might say, she hangs out at the bottom of a building, searing pink and blue neon lines onto a blank wall. Today, she feels like birds. The pink ones are playfully swooping after the larger blue ones.
People stop to take pictures of both her and the art, but move on soon enough after it becomes clear they're not getting her attention. Or maybe they've seen her doing this before.
As it gets darker, she heads to the beach. With fall settling in, people clear off the cold sand. It's just another canvas. Here, she just does swirls, over and over, some getting washed away by the waves.
The name Brent is sometimes incorporated into the spirals, but she makes sure it's close enough for the water to take it away soon enough.]

Delsin sits on the cleaner corner upside down, stretched out lazily and taking artistic instagrammed photos of their new digs. ]
Camping... without the fear of getting mauled by bears, wolves, or our good friend Sasquatch.
[ he chuckles to himself, because hah good joke ]
So, where're we installing the bonfire?
no subject
Think we might wanna get a table before that. Maybe some more toilet paper, too.
no subject
Toilet paper? [ there's genuine confusion in his voice ]
The complex gave us a free roll.
no subject
I'll stuff some rolls from the restroom at work into my purse. One roll ain't gonna last long here.
We don't even got napkins.
no subject
[ crazy lasergirl with a cat obsession, and now a white collar embezzler. but he can't argue with free toilet paper; those 3 rolls of toilet paper a month added up. he gets up, using both index fingers and thumbs to form a rectangle, framing various parts of the apartment with a careful eye, before resting them on Fetch. ]
Toilet paper, napkins, a few bar chairs... maybe even a rug, and you could almost call it home. Think they got IKEA here?
no subject
You need a place to put your crap. [There's a closet, but it's hers. All of it. All the closet.] And beats me. We got flying cars, but Swedish meatballs? Weren't they neutral?
[The Cold War is not her forte.]
no subject
[ and probably secretly start stuffing clothes into Fetch's closet as well. with no reaction to his Delsin-cam, he drops his arms, collapsing in a pile next to Fetch, with his hands braced on his legs. ]
Everyone loves Swedish meatballs. And if there's no IKEA, I've always wanted to try eating while standing up.
no subject
Accept the ways of your horse brethren. [Horse legs. Chicken legs. Flamingo legs. All the same.]
no subject
[ because Ikea meatballs=horse meat right?? he gives Fetch a nudge, pointing towards a rather empty and fading wall ]
We should put up a mural.
no subject
[Totally over his head. At the nudge, she looks where he points. She is never getting her deposit back.]
You think so? Might be worth splurging on some spray paint for that. [As much as she'll give him shit for tagging, she's gotta give respect where it's due...]
no subject
[ COME ON. he makes a passing motion with his hands, because even in his fake outrage, Fetch is forgiven; she probably never heard of the horse meat controversy while doing her thing. ]
And yeah— unless you actually like staring at a plain taupe wall. I mean sure it's soothing... but it makes me feel like I'm gonna die of boredom.
no subject
Plain walls make it easier to spot the roaches at night.
[Kidding. Kinda. Sorta.] Can't be bored with all those guys waiting to nest up in your sofa with you.
no subject
[ he'd mimic the blasting of said roaches with his finger guns, but the sudden darkness from getting beanie'd leaves him flailing for a moment, until he rolls up the edge of his beanie up just enough to peer out ]
Think renters insurance'll cover that?

Walking meant thinking and exploring and doing whatever he could to settle his mind; often an act that required far too much time. Always too many things to sort through, too many feelings to try and understand while simultaneously digging a hole in his mind to store them away. Where once he'd been so open to his own enthusiastic emotions, he now found them to be a pain in the ass - if he didn't have to feel it, he didn't have to think about it.
Somehow, on the way home from work (taking the long way, he supposes) he finds himself at the beach, wandering the edge of the sand. At least until he comes across someone burning art into the tide. It steals his attention for a few seconds before he finally decides to speak up, wondering if he knows that power from somewhere or if it's just his imagination. ]
Y'know, you could do that somewhere where it actually stays around.
no subject
[Fetch motions to her half-swirls, the pink neon glimmering under the waves for a moment before disappearing. Likewise, the pink glow from her hands fades off now that someone else is here.]
Or maybe I just wanna give the fishes a show.
no subject
Never knew fishes to be big on light shows, but i've been proved wrong before. [ Shrugging, Peter meanders his way closer, watching his feet as he walks through the sand. Last thing he needs is to trip over himself and faceplant into the stuff. ]
I can't really be one to talk - definitely did some questionable things when I had my abilities.
no subject
When you had your abilities?
no subject
I had my... abilities stolen. Taken. It's complicated. Not really proud of how I got 'em back, either. Didn't even get back the same ability. Back home, I mean.
no subject
Yeah? [She can sorta follow. She's had her powers blocked and copied, but not outright stolen.] What'd they give you here? Haven't talked to too many people that had powers back home.
no subject
They actually gave me the same thing I used to have. [ Oh. Wait. That could be... interesting. Peter looks sheepish for a few seconds, digging the toe of his shoe into the sand. ] I'm a kind of an empath.

--hey, aren't you that guy? I talked to you before, on the network.
[Please dear god be that guy. Three people in this place that can copy powers is too much.]
no subject
Yeah, that'd be me. Unless you talked to somebody else who's an empath, which'd surprise me. Apparently we're not that common.
no subject
Yeah. What was your name again? [She motions to herself.] Fetch.
