Light it up
WHO: Dean Winchester and You!
WHERE: An empty parking lot on the outskirts of Heropa
WHEN: The night of September 28th
WHAT: Learning to control his powersOr at least trying to.
WARNINGS: Fire, cussing, Dean.
Even though Dean wasn't a huge fan of the pyrokinesis this place had given him, it was becoming more and more apparent that he needed to figure out how to control it before he actually did some serious damage. Unfortunately, the best way to learn how to control the damn power was to actually use it. With that in mind, Dean had hunted down a parking lot that was a little off the beaten path. Somewhere out of the way that was relatively non flammable where he didn't have to worry about hurting anybody.
His shirt and over shirt are discarded, waded up unceremoniously and left on the ground. More than a few shirts had already been lost to his ability, but his pants had survived, so he was just going to go ahead and do this shirt less. He feels exposed without the layers, the glowing mark on his arm branding him "unsettled". The anti-possession tattoo on his upper chest is also visible, along with a handprint on his left arm, just below his shoulder that looks as though it's been seared into his skin. The second mark is definitely more unusual than the first, but then again, Dean wasn't expecting anybody else to see him.
As for using his actual power, Dean spends a good amount of time focusing just on intentionally creating the fire, flames licking up his arms before extinguishing it. His goal is to gradually work towards setting things on fire at a distance and figuring out if he can actually put out an existing fire that isn't on him. If anybody comes upon him, Dean's practicing these techniques without any finesse, mostly just standing in place and focusing. Even so, it might look kind of suspicious to see a man out here on his own, playing with fire.

It was a piece of incredible good fortune that he was avoiding the center of town this evening. The flash of fire was impossible to miss, and as he moved in, that irresistable glow became a person, whom he watched quietly from the darkness for a short while, his mind ticking away the details, processing the ability in the way it was wont to do.
Interesting.
"I killed a pyrokinetic once," he said, when he was close enough. "They self-immolated."
As conversation openers went, it was up there.

He raises an eyebrow as what the other man had said registers and he doesn't extinguish his fire, allowing it to curl up his arms. If this guy was planning on killing him, he wasn't going down without a fight. And he sure as hell didn't plan on burning to death either.
"Well that's...." Yeah, he's got nothing. Fucking creepy is what it was, but it's not a sentiment that Dean's entirely unfamiliar with. Gordon had tried to kill Sam when his brother had manifested psychic abilities. Maybe this guy was just another Gordon flavored whack job. "Okay. That's cute. Are you some kind of hunter or something?"
His attention is focused entirely on the other man now. He'd basically announced that he was a threat, so Dean was prepared to light him up the second he tried anything funny. The thought of actually killing someone with fire makes Dean's gut clench uncomfortably, but if it's him or crazy dude, there's no question about it.

Since Dean didn't drop the act, the fire continues to dance in the sheer black of his eyes, a powerful reflection.
"In a manner of speaking." He inclined his head very slightly to one side, then raised his hands in deliberate surrender, bringing them up to either side of his head. His smile was pure menace even so.
"So do you want to know how I did it?" A pause. "You fear losing control, don't you? You're out here trying to learn how to use this dangerous new power of yours, but to think it could all be undone by someone trying to save your life."

On the other hand, the stranger is right about Dean's reasons for being here, but even that feels more like a subtle threat than anything else. Dean might be a little paranoid, but he was still alive, right?
"Somehow I get the feeling you're going to tell me whether or not I want to know." Not that Dean isn't curious, but that's not really the point.

"Not necessarily," he answers. "If you don't want to know, I'd be loathe to force the knowledge upon you. But that's what I do--I know how people's abilities work. I can tell just by watching them."
His pushing the buttons of Dean's curiosity remains as subtle as he can force himself to be. It isn't really his greatest skill, subtlety. The hunger always shows through eventually, no matter his efforts to control it, conveys itself as that 'off'ness in person, the feeling of something being slightly wrong.

"All right. I'll bite. Is that your power? Being able to tell how other people's powers work? Then why the hell would you kill somebody with powers?"

She shouldn't stop, she should just keep going... but the fact that he's pyrokinetic is just interesting enough to her that she doesn't.
"Your power is fire?" It's a rhetorical question to start conversation. The answer is obvious, after all.
Sorry for the failtastic lateness
"One of them." It's not really worth mentioning that his other power lets him talk to animals, but if she actually asks he'll own up. Maybe.
"What's yours?" He'd noticed the flurries and raises his eyebrows skyward when he asks the question. Snow's not exactly the norm for a state like Florida. And as for the temperature dropping, even if Dean were close enough to feel it, it's not something he would have thought much about. Sam's powers here do the same thing and he's gotten used to things being a little chillier than they should be for Florida.
it's cool
"Ice."
She doesn't get any closer, keeping a safe distance. Not just for her own safety, but so she doesn't seem threatening (although she's aware she doesn't look very threatening the way she is).
"I've met one other... pyrokinetic?" That's what they call it, right? "His powers worked similarly to mine. I guess I'm just curious about other people who have powers like that."

One of her sales brought her to the outskirts of Heropa, and when she was about to go back to her apartment, she notices a light in the distance. Curiosity killed the cat, they'd say, but Noi can't really die (well. she can. She will just never admit how you'd be able to kill her) thus she has no fear and follows curiosity instead, reaching the parking lot and spotting Dean.
Oh. She remembers this guy. The fire guy! Yeah.
A bag with beagles in her hand, mask covering half of her face (leaving the mouth exposed), No1 approaches only to watch, taking the chance to grab some of her food as she does so. For a moment there, the woman doesn't speak, and only after she gets a bit bored, Dean will hear her voice.
"Getting easier?"

That night he left Heropa and hoped he'd find a rabbit. A bird. Anything. he found a mouse, and that was his dinner. Honestly, he is good at tracking, but terrible at running after his preys.
Well, at least he had some meat.
Once he was done, the wolf returns, using his human illusion to walk through the streets so he won't be scaring anyone who comes across the wolf. Even if he is very tamed, he is still too big to be a dog, still has claws and teeth, and that still scares some people.
As he goes back, Toboe spots a familiar scent and of course he decides to pay Dean a visit. The fire is a surprise, but Toboe still smiles nonetheless, and comes closer, even if the man won't recognize him (since he only met the wolf).
"Hello!"
