[Open] We're Going to Learn Some Human Things
WHO: Tailgate, Fulcrum, and anyone else!
WHERE: Around town and maybe the library
WHEN: Friday and Sunday
WHAT: Tailgate does things with other people
WARNINGS: Energy drinks
[Tailgate's place | Friday | Locked to Fulcrum]
It's Tailgate's turn now to wait for Fulcrum to come pick him up. He had totally been looking forward to this all week, and even bought a pretty long piece of blue clothing just for the occasion. Organics called it a dress, and he liked it a lot! It even seemed to be made with his human shape in mind, how convenient! He made sure to wash and comb his hair, and even figured out how to put it up and use a hair elastic. That took way longer than he expected it to.
He had just finished tugging everything into place when someone knocked on his door. "Coming!" He shouted, bounding through the living room and gracelessly yanking it open. "Hello! Hi! It's good to see you!"
[Library | Sunday | Open to all]
If asked, Tailgate might admit that he didn't actually know how to use the library. It was so different from the Cybertronian one he visited once in his lifetime. It took no time at all to become lost. But during his journey, he managed to find exactly what he was looking for: A book on the human anatomy. It was big and full of words he didn't understand, and it probably weighed more than his little organic body did.
Tailgate can be found sitting at a table with an intense look scrawled on his face. Open before him was a basic diagram of the human digestive system. None of it made any sense to him, but good golly is he going to try. Next to him there's a stack of books that include: An Overview of World History, Worldwide Desserts, Green Eggs and Ham, Palmistry, and The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation.
Next to him seemed to be a large can of some kind of energy drink. That might explain why he's vibrating slightly.

He understands that the general Earth custom is to bring flowers and chocolates. Determining that chocolate is inevitable since Tailgate will probably want to have ice cream, Fulcrum's just brought a bouquet of flowers. Funny, though, the plants seem to be making his eyes water a little and his nose itch...
When Tailgate swings the door open, Fulcrum jerks upright and smiles. "H-hey! Great to see you too, Tailgate. Uh, these! These are for you."
Awkwardly, he holds the flowers out.
no subject
"Oooh, thank you! These are so pretty!" He takes one out and puts it in his hair like he's seen humans do. Deciding that they should match, he marches over to Fulcrum and puts a similar flower in his hair too. There! Don't they look like a nice pair?
"You look nice! Figuring out organic clothing is pretty tricky, isn't it?"
no subject
Fulcrum smiles sheepishly as Tailgate plants the flower into his thick hair. It obediently stays where it is.
"Yeah, it's been hard. I didn't think about all the different variety and cultural impact even clothing makes. Humans can be a little high maintenance, but it was nice that Metalhawk helped me out." Fulcrum offers his hand out to Tailgate. He feels himself blush, but he doesn't really quite understand the reaction.

Tailgate chatters on as he grabs onto Fulcrum's hand and gently tugs him out of the apartment. Of course he makes sure that he has his keys before he goes. It's never any fun to lock yourself out of your own apartment. He's had more experience with this than he'd like. These little metal keys were so inconvenient.
"So, where do you want to go first? I was thinking the movies! And afterwards we can get some icecream and go for a walk! How does that sound?"
no subject
Easily, Tailgate takes lead, and Fulcrum isn't trying to take control one bit. Better to let someone else determine where they're going. Fulcrum's always been more of a follower, honestly. So, he smiles, trailing behind Tailgate and holding his hand. This is nice!
"The movies sound great. I got a few suggestions on where we can go for ice cream, too. I think there's even some frozen yogurt places but I don't know if that's the same or different than ice cream."
no subject
He finally decides to stop yanking Fulcrum around, and instead loops his arm through his, like he's seen human couples in the park do. It's not weird is it? They ARE on a date, so it must be okay! One day he'll read up on all these social rules humans have.
"I was thinking of something silly. Like a comedy or something! What do you think?"
no subject
"Sure! It'd be nice to see something that isn't a documentary for once." Fulcrum grins sheepishly. "After the movie, we can get food and ice cream. I was kinda hoping I could spend time getting to know you a bit more, if you don't mind."
Tailgate's life does sound infinitely more interesting than his own.

They leave the apartment and walk down the street; Tailgate's head swivels around as he admires his surroundings. Humans are just so cool! Look at their funny little buildings! And their plants and all their other stuff!
"I love Earth so far. It's been really nice here! I should get an Earth alt-mode or something."
no subject
Fulcrum smiles as he watches Tailgate excitedly observe the area around him. Just like that, Tailgate is energized by his environment. It's incredibly endearing.
"Heh, I wish I could do that. Even if I could figure out how to go into my real body, that'd be impossible for me. What kind of Earth-mode would you pick?"
Library
He hates it.
It's big, it smells strange, it's full of books (which have to be the SLOWEST method of acquiring information he's ever encountered) and they have rules about how loudly you can speak. He's flipped through some books, gotten scolded a bit and generally wasted time, so Rodimus has finally decided to find his way out - easier said than done.
Just as he's about to head in a direction that he's sure will lead to an exit, he spots the lone figure. Rodimus almost pays no mind, and continues his beeline to the real world before thinking twice. Although he wasn't any good at it at first, Rodimus has encountered enough imPorts - enough Cybertronian imPorts at that - that he's starting to develop an eye for them. And that? That is an imPort if he ever saw one. The Cybertronian part still to be decided.
Rodimus sits down at the table, across putting his chin on his hand.
"So...what're you readin'?"
Library
"The human body! Since we're in them, I figured I should learn more about it! These books are so cool! It feels weird to turn pages rather than using datapads, but you get used to it. Oh, oh, did you know that humans have two different intestines? One big one and one small one, and both are really, really long! And they have red and white blood cells! Their bones are very strong and can heal on their own! I don't know what words are anymore, I'm sorry. Um hi. My name is Tailgate nice to meet you. You have to try this drink, I swear I can see sounds. I'm in the mood for cupcakes. Do you like cupcakes? You look familiar, have we talked before? If so, then I'm really really really sorry that I forgot your name!"
no subject
"Met? Probably not. But perhaps you've heard of me?" Rodimus says with a smirk, gesturing to himself grandly. "They call me Megatron! Lord Megatron, if you know what's good for you. That is....assuming you're a Decepticon. Because if not, obviously I'll have to kill you."
He leans across the table, glaring hard at Tailgate.
"You are a Deception, I hope?"
no subject
"Aaaaaaaah!"
PANIC PANIC PANIC!
no subject
"Primus, Tailgate, I'm joking, I'm JOKING! It's Rodimus!" He leans over the table to see if the little bot has hurt himself falling out of the chair. As he does he notices the spots of red dripping onto the table.
Surprised, he reaches up to find he's leaking from his nose, fingers coming away the bright red of human energon.
no subject
He squeaks, pulling himself back up and looking tearfully up at his captain. His heart is pounding and his head hurts a lot. That's probably not a good thing. He quickly stops thinking about himself when he sees the red dripping down Rodimus' face. Oh no! With that, he starts panicking again.
"Y-Your nose is bleeding! W-We should find you a piece of cloth or something! Aaaah this is all my fault, I'm so sorry! Please don't be mad!"
no subject
"What - what do I do? You've been reading all those books, haven't you? Is this...is it gonna stop on it's own?"
