[After texting Shinjiro, Jaime did, in fact, count the exact number of Westerns on Netflix. To his utter delight, there are even more than 390 available for their perusal, and while he will never in his life have enough time to watch even a tenth of them, he's still pretty pleased that they exist in the first place. Their existence is utterly baffling to him, which is going to make this all the better, because he's determined that they'll be able to find a really, really bad one.

In retrospect, he's lucky that Kaidan is so tolerant of him having friends over as often as he does, because some days, residence 015 is a veritable hub of activity. Today, it's going to be a ridiculously macho hub of activity, because you don't get much more exaggeratedly masculine than Westerns, the more over-the-top the better.

Before the cavalry arrives, Jaime does a quick double check of their provisions. Jumbo sized chips, check. Jumbo sized soda, check. Netflix, check.

They are set.]

[He'd been told to bring microwave popcorn-- but like hell he'd stop there. There were four guys, let alone anyone from house 15 who might wander down (And god forbid Kaiden get wind that they had snacks and demolish the lot of it-) so he'd picked up a few extra things. Some large bags of beef jerky, the aforementioned box of popcorn, some oreos- the works, pretty much.

He'd never been big on movies (usually due to lack of funds or giveafuck-) but he can't help but look forward to the sort of dumbass hangouts he's sure this will bring.

Besides, he likes Jaime. Jayden he'd never hung out with in person, but seemed chill as fuck over the network.

So, plastic bag from the store looped over an elbow, he raps roughly on the door, before just- reaching for the knob to see if it's unlocked. Finding it is, he just... lets himself in, glancing about for Jaime.]

Hey man. I brought shit.

[Jaime doesn't even bother getting up when he hears Shinjiro call out - all he does is wriggle backwards on the couch until he hits the armrest and tilts his head over the side, his hair (already getting too long, he knows) swinging underneath him in a messy mop.]

You know you don't live here anymore, right? Technically, that means you've lost coming-in-here-without-a-key privileges.

[...and then he sees what Shinjiro brought, and flips over onto his stomach, brightening up.]

Ooh, snacks.

[WHATEVER BRO he takes long enough to tug his boots off just inside the door, before stepping inside farther and lazily tossing the bag of junkfood onto a table.]

And yeah, I got a couple things. Figured we'd need 'em, depending on how many movies we wanna get through.

I figure as many as we can get. We gotta at least do The Good, The Bad and The Ugly 'cause it's a classic, and at least one John Wayne one 'cause we gotta get something old school in.

[Once Akihiko and Jayden arrive, that is. Speaking of which...]

Where's Akihiko at? I figured you guys would come together.

Hell, sounds good to me.

[At the question he pulls a bit of a face and rolls his eyes.] He doesn't really keep me updated all the time. Probably doing something between work and here. I dunno. I just grabbed shit and headed over here, figured he knows the way.

[Jayden also arrives with a hastily purchased liter of Mountain Dew and a bag of Cheetos. THE FOOD OF CHAMPIONS.

Unlike Shinji who is a giant punk, he does ring the doorbell.]

[Jaime dutifully gets up to answer the door, but he can't resist giving Shinjiro shit while he's at it. As he's opening the door, Jayden will be able to hear him yelling behind him,] See, Jayden knows how to ring the doorbell. He's got manners.

[There's laughter in his eyes when he greets Jayden with a simple,] Hey man, c'mon in.

Wow, my street cred proceeds me already. Sup?

[He steps in, glancing around the place, although in his experience all the government house layouts tend to be the same.]

I wasn't sure what there was to eat, so...

[Mountain Dew and Cheetos. Yep. A stoner's dream.]

[By now he's chilling out on a chair dragged over from the kitchen table, sitting backwards and straddling it like such a cool fucking guy. Arms folded over the back, he lifts a hand in greeting.]

Sup, man. Those look perfect.

[Sure, he tends to give peopleAkihiko hell about eating well-- but sometimes there's gonna be a time where you don't even bother and just embrace the shitty food.]

I'd like to hear you say that to my mom. She gets dangerous about manners.

[It's probably uncool to bring up his mom but... well, he's never really been cool in his life. Why start now? He takes the Mountain Dew and Cheetos from Jayden with a word of thanks before stowing them with the rest of the junk food, which is starting to look downright impressive in scale.]

These're great. We're all gonna get diabetes by morning, [he says, but he says it cheerfully, as if getting diabetes is, in fact, the most desirable option available to them.]

No, seriously, my mom too. You gotta watch out, she'll smack you upside the head if you're not polite enough.

[He salutes Jaime, glad he's done is duty to put them all in sugar comas. Then he gives a small nod to Shinjiro.]

You're Shinji? Am I saying that right?

[First lesson in having multicultural friends: pronounce their names correctly.]

Guess I gotta hope neither of them show up here, then. [There's a snort, but at least he's got enough respect not to make any juvenile 'your mom' comments.] Hell, for all I know, they'd want me to comb my hair, too.

[To Jayden, his expression turns down into a bit of a frown-- mostly because the guy is already going for a nickname. He's almost gotten used to the casual nature of referring to people in America- but not quite. (At least he knows better than to say anything about it, especially as he just stated that manners don't matter.)]

Ah, almost. It's Shinjiro. [A nod. And he won't ask for the pronunciation of Jayden because Jaime already said it.]

Good to meet you in person, I guess.

[He might have mistakenly heard Jaime use Shinji, or maybe he'd just read the name on the network wrong. Either way.]

[Akihiko arrives a bit later than Shinjiro. Not terribly late, but later, had some things to do, but when doesn't he? He even still has a glint of sweat on his brow still when he makes his way through the door after knocking and having it opened for him. A jog here, it's humid, jacket already over his shoulder. Hadn't thought to bring anything and wasn't asked to, so he didn't. Way to go the extra mile.]

Jaime, Jayden. [Nods to either of them but not at serious as his usual almost mysterious way of emoting. The type that made girls wild and men jealous, oh no. A bit more dorky here, liking these guys and enjoying their company. There's a small smile on his face when he speaks, and he glances to Shinjiro, nodding in greeting and not really thinking of how Shinjiro got here before him. Bothers him a little that he went on ahead though, the thought's gone as fast as it arrived.]

Westerns huh? Can't say I have any experience. Anything good? [Because they're going to look for good movies right? With a lot of action and storyline and- he is not going to get the humour in them choosing a terrible one.]

[And at that, Akihiko gets a smile. He's the sort who could stand loosening up a bit, he thinks - and if he's reading Shinjiro correctly, Shinji thinks so too. They haven't spoken much, but when they have, it's mostly been about training, or...

Okay, mostly training. The point is, Akihiko could use a crash course on how to relax, and in this house, that means movies, video games, and a healthy dose of horrible food.]

We-ell, we'll start off good, since Jayden's never seen a Western before. It might be downhill from there. You ever see The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly?

[Jayden has already situated himself into a practiced slouch on the sofa. He holds up a hand into a small wave.]

Heeey, Akihiko. What's up? You knock anybody out lately?

[He straightens minutely, to give some input on the movie selection.]

I have literally no expectations. The only things I know about Westerns are from, like, cartoons. I leave it up to you.

[JUST A CASUAL WAVE TO AKIHIKO, seeing as he's already gone for the snacks and has a mouth full of popcorn. They are there to be eaten okay.]

Sounds good- start with a good one or two, then start scrolling through what they got and see if any looks good?

[And by 'good' he means hilariously atrocious.]

[Jaime is who he's spoken to least in this group. Shinjiro the most of course, and Jayden more often lately. But all of them deserve the respect and smile he gives. It's good to be around people he can feel a little on level with, and he softens his pose, letting his shoulders drop slightly and goes to peel off his shoes.]

Hey yeah- Shinji made sure I knew beforehand so I could make time. We planning to go all night? I've never seen any westerns either- so uh- no? That one any good?

[The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly? Neat title, he's actually looking forward to this, unknowing that that particular one's a classic for a reason.]

Heh- you know it. Just taking a break from the beatdowns to- [uh. . .] -Hang with you guys. [People say hang, right Jayden? He's pretty sure.] Cartoons? Better than I got, cowboys were an actual thing, didn't know they were that popular in movies though- [Glances back to Jaime.] You watch them a lot?

We should be able to look up reviews for movies online too, to make sure we're not wasting our time with a bad one- You bring the beef jerky, Shinji? [Mooooves towards him. Snacks you say?]

We'll go as long as we want to, [He shrugs.] I ain't picky. I haven't watched a ton of them, but more than you guys. I live in a place where people wear cowboy hats unironically - I might as well know what they're failing to be.

[He says that part with a laugh, mostly because he's got one very clear image of the guys he sees wearing cowboy hats around town, and Clint Eastwood, they ain't. He turns on the movie with a click of a button, though he's not exactly insisting everyone sit down and play strict attention; it's a slow start, but they've got to get through it.]
