ooc: Go ahead and make top levels, etc. as need arises. If someone wants to seek out somebody from the cast/s, this is also a place they are welcome to do so. The house the Lan brothers own is in Jeopardy, there are still bunnies. And other small animals. The house that Jin Zixuan owns is in the woods outside De Chima. There, chances are you can find Fairy.

I. After New Year | at his book shop or at home
After the New Year party and bad hangovers, it's a New Year. it's a quiet month, so Wangji opens his shops early and go home early. Sales has wind down, so he has more time to stay home and take care of rabbits and his family. Gone are holiday decors from the frontyard and backyard, but he lets the holiday lights around the trees and house on to light the dark streets at night.

Wangji can be found at work in the bookshop during business hours, helping customers behind the front desk or around the store.

II. Jan.23rd | Wangji's birthday | locked to family and housemates
There is a big white cake, all white and light blue frosting with candy white rabbits on top which he ordered customized from the bakery with candles glowing. When it was cut, it turns out to be chocolate cheesecake. For dinner, its mostly vegetarian one side of the table and meat on the other.

Wangji is going to sit down and enjoy the meal he had fun working on all day long. Tired, he doesn't mind eating quietly, enjoying the hard work, and looking forward to open his presents. The radio is playing classical music softly in the background.

Cake

Wei Wuxian reaches out and plucks one of the candy rabbits off the top of the cake, "You aren't supposed to order your own cake Lan Zhan. You're supposed to let the family do it. Why are you doing all the work for your own birthday?"

He is amused as he threatens to bite the head off that little rabbit in his hand. He taps it against his lips as he watches the other man cut the cake.

Lan Wangji is cutting out cakes and slices and puts them on plates. "I'm trying to figure out the cheesecake recipe and make it vegan and gluten-free. I think ordering one is simply easier. Also carving out candy rabbits, they melt."

Lan Wangji watches as he threatens to bite off their poor heads. "Eat as much as you like. And thank you."

And that little bunnies head is gone. He sits up as a piece of cake is slid his way. "Maybe I'll save it for later. I'm still pretty full from dinner." But he is going to keep chewing on the rabbit.

"So when are you going to actually sit down and enjoy your own party?"

Lan Wangji is going to eat and bite them off too. Politely with his fork. "Mm. You could put it away into the fridge."

At his question, "When I will open my presents and see what gifts I get." When he eats away at his slice cake, he puts away the plates into the sink, and he goes to open his box of presents wrapped in colored paper and ribbons.

He shakes his head, "I don't want it to be cold." He has a plan and it will go back to his room with him later.

He watches as he opens, just as curious about the gifts that Lan Wangji was given. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small box and places it on the counter.

"All right. It's a good cake." It's a quiet birthday too, which he preferred. For the most part, the altar has gotten a little bigger with pictures of memories of the people who had gone back home and offerings, with candles and incense being buried and lit. Lan Wangji does his best to stay calm and focus. He's only grateful for whatever he has left and Wei Ying is present with him, but they're still together and surviving the worst, while the brother tries to manage.

Nothing much to see for his present. Just books, clothes, and things for everyday use. One book, in particular, is about romantic poetry.

"Wei Ying, I would like to read poetry with you. Shall we read together?"

He quirks his eyebrow at the question. He's never really read a lot of poetry and he isn't sure how interesting it might be. But he notices that this particularly book of poetry appears to be all about one thing.

Amusement flickers as he looks at it, "Does someone think you need more romance in your life, Lan Zhan? Sure, we can read together."

Wei Wuxian taps the top of the box on the counter. "And when you are ready you can open this one, but it requires a little setup so don't open it until you are ready."

"I certainly need you." He mumbled, pink to the tip of his ears. But he looks pleased that he wanted to sit next to him as he reads a few poetry to him.

"Oh? I didn't notice that box. Let me go open it. I can set it up." He went over to unwrap that box as well, slowly ripping up the paper and ribbons, and opens up the box to see what it is inside.

"If romance is what you desire then you might be in for a treat." He smirks as he watches him open the box, pushing himself up out of his chair and to his feet.

It isn't Lan Wangji that needs to set anything up. Wei Wuxian has some work ahead of him.

Inside the box is a little acrylic rabbit, holding a piece of paper between his paws. Once the paper is unrolled it reads as follows:

In fifteen minutes, and not a second sooner, come upstairs to Wei Ying's bedroom. Do not knock. Do not say a word. Simply walk in and close the door. Once inside, look only at the door and do not turn around. A second note will be waiting attached to the inside of the door.

To the world you might be one person, but to me you are the world.

While Lan Wangji is reading the note, Wei Wuxian slips out of the room. Cake in hand he is off to make the preparations for the present. Time is ticking.
