WHAT: Lillie introduces Ochako to her newest friend.
WARNINGS:

[ It had started with a text that she'd returned to this world. Lillie had been happily exchanging texts with Ochako all this time, and had ported out for a week right in the middle of their conversation. The conversation would, perhaps sadly, get pushed to the side for a little longer, as Lillie explained she had a starter pokemon now, and then the explanation that came from that. It had all culminated in agreeing to meet up near Lillie's home, by one of the beaches.

That was how the young blonde had come to be waiting near the sidewalk for her friend, occasionally unable to help but dance in place a little at the thought of introducing her sweet little turtle to her cool older friend and- Well, she hoped they got along! ]

[The sudden halt of their conversation was rather startling, though more startling was learning that Lillie had actually left for a while, returning here again after a few days, and with a new...pet? She's still not really sure what to call her Pokemon companions. Sure there were phone apps and video games that featured monster collection, but never to the scale of what Lillie had described to her. It was still hard to wrap her head around...

But!! She's excited to meet her new little buddy, and as she walks, following the directions from the map application on her communicator, Ochako spots her younger friend on the curb just down the road and beams, waving furiously and calling out to her happily.]

Lillie-chan!!

[She begins to move forward quickly, grinning. It's not lie that Ochako was excited to see Lillie - leaving suddenly and returning again happened to her, once, and it's always been a real fear of Ochako's...to leave, then come back with no memory of the friends she made, or the memories and experiences she shared with those here...or having something like that happen to her friends, o-or...those she cares for very deeply. That may be why she jumped on the opportunity to actually see the girl in person, actually. Just to feel grounded, in a way.]

[ When Lillie heard her name called, she turned around and started waving at the older girl. ]

Ochako!

[ And with that she was off towards Ochako, all smiles and sunbeams. By the time she met up with her she was giggling happily. ]

I know it hasn't been that long, but it feels like it's been longer! I'm glad you could come today! Things must be really busy as a hero.

[Meeting each other halfway, Ochako blinks, sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck with a hasty giggle. Boy, it has been...a lot. There were plenty of things to deal with while Lillie was gone, which is half why Ochako feels so bad she barely realized it. I-It did take some of the edge off her sudden disappearance, but...best not detail what she went through with a particularly nasty villain. No need to scare the poor girl.]

Eh..hehe, it's n-nothing I'm not used to... [Kind of.] But there have been quite a few nasty villains and criminals about - as well as robot double that act very similarly to people you know, or even yourself. Please be very careful, Lillie-chan - they can even mimic our quir--eh, sorry...our powers. And mine can be very dangerous if used by the wrong person. [Considering Ochako can lift several very heavy objects at once with her Zero Gravity quirk, as well as people themselves, and float them up to a point where a fall would instantly kill them, or anything that struck them suddenly from that height would cause fatal damage? Yeah...it's dangerous. Extremely so. Especially since a robot probably can't feel the nausea that comes with excessive use of it...so there's not real side-effect.]

B-But let's not talk about scary of depressing things!! It's so good to see you again! You said you brought back a new, ah...Poke...mun? Is that right?

[ Lillie nods as she listens intently. ] I'll be very careful to avoid the weird robots! I don't think my powers can be used for much, but I still wouldn't want to have to fight a robot! I'm not good at fighting, and have only just started to learn how to pokemon battle.

[ And then, ah then she perks up! ]

Yes! Karina, she's a squirtle. Follow me! She likes to play on the beach, and it's right behind my house!

[ And oh how excited she looks! To be a pokemon trainer in her world is normal, but it was still something she hadn't thought of doing for herself until relatively recently, and even before that she'd never really thought she'd have been able to. Not with how her mother limited her travel. But now? Now she could go anywhere with her pokemon partner, even to other worlds! ]

Oh, if you want, I could always teach you some basic self defense, Lillie-chan! They're simple, but good moves to know.

[Ochako knows a variety of martial arts, and she's pretty damn good at a few styles both from home and from learning here as well. She's been diligently following her training regime and also learning new forms and styles as well, but...there's something elegant in the simplicity and power of just a few basic self defense moves. Honestly, she's glad she learned them, because they're so quick to pull off it's almost effortless.

But another time for that topic of conversation, Ochako is much more interested in Lillie's...pet? Really, she's not quite sure what exactly a Pokemon counts as, but she is super excited to play with one. Hell, any cute and friendly creature Ochako would be delighted to meet.]

Squirtle...ehehe...that sounds so cute. ♥ So she's like a little turtle, I'm guessing? [It's easy to piece together from the name. Lillie's excitement bolsters Ochako's, and she's practically skipping after her, hair bouncing after her.] Aaahh, I'm so excited!! I can't wait to meet her! I hope she likes me...

Could someone like me learn self defense? [ She looks shocked at the idea! ] Even though I'm a kid?

[ Lillie had never been taught to protect herself - her mother preferred for her to be forced to rely on her. Lillie had only partially realised that so far. She had no idea that a part of what was done was to make Lillie feel like she couldn't defend herself. Not without help at least.

Such thoughts leave her mind almost instantly at the mention of her newest friend however. ]

I'm sure she'll love you! She's really sweet, and she's probably the sweetest turtle ever! [ She picked up her pace a little. ] We're almost to the beach!
