WHO: Sephiroth and Angeal, with surprise appearances of the other castmates
WHERE: De Chima
WHEN: End of July
WHAT: Sephiroth and Angeal decided to go out to enjoy themselves, everyone else crashed.
WARNINGS: Language, potential violence, potential smooches. We'll see how this goes.
Sephiroth and Angeal walked down the road, hand in hand, towards the restaurant Sephiroth had made reservations at. Date night had been discussed many times since they'd decided to put more effort into their relationship so Sephiroth had taken the initiative and made reservations at a highly recommended restaurant.
When they arrived at the restaurant Sephiroth held the door open for Angeal before approaching the hostess to give their name. Within the minute they were being led out to the patio Sephiroth had reserved exclusively for the night.

"Pulling all the stops tonight, hm?" Angeal questions once they reached the patio. "Talk about fancy." While the restaurant he had in mind was also a four-star one, Angeal doubts they had a patio for outside dining like this establishment.
"How about we split the cost between us?" Angeal suggests once they're seated.
For once in his life, Angeal is dressed a little nicer than usual. While he's not exactly in a three-piece suit or anything, Angeal at least the foresight to wear a sleek dark blue blazer with those form-fitting jeans. The black button-down shirt is a bit simplistic but nice enough for dinner. This is probably the first time in weeks that he finishes this ensemble in anything other than military boots. He's wearing some sleek black shoes instead.

He gave his order and waited for Angeal to do the same, using the time to plan out what he wanted to say. Finally the woman moved away from the table and he spoke.
"If you feel it necessary then I will not argue with you, but I have to admit I'd prefer to pay for dinner. We didn't do anything like this back in Midgar, and I find I want to treat you."
Anyone else might have been embarrassed to express such a thing, but Sephiroth's tone was perfectly even.

That's when he saw the pair of them sitting out on the patio and he decides to change his plans. This must be a date night for them and so he decides, not entirely soberly, that he'll help things along. He grins to himself, gesturing a waiter over. What was the most expensive bottle of whatever? Doesn't matter what it is, he doesn't care but just run his card and bring it to that table at once.
He makes his way over to the table once he's done, giving them both a friendly smile. Sure, Angeal and Sephiroth were technically enemies of Shinra but that didn't really apply here. "What a surprise to see you both here. I was just finishing dinner with a client and thought I would stop to say hello on my way out."
But as he says that he's pulling a chair up to the table, making himself comfortable as the waiter brings over the bottle of champagne and three glasses. "Don't mind me, what is the occasion?"

"Alright then." He concedes with a grin. "I won't suggest otherwise." However, Angeal is bound to overtip the waiter. After working in a restaurant for the last few months, Angeal feels damn near obligated to help out a fellow waiter. Hopefully, Sephiroth won't mind.
"Hey, what should we try first?" Angeal asks once he's handed a menu. "Feel up for something fancy this even---?"
Angeal instantly trails off when suddenly Rufus Fucking Shinra, appears out of nowhere. He stares at him for a long while before letting out a disgruntled sigh.
"The occasion is none of your business, Rufus." Angeal comments dryly before noticing the glasses. "Wait, what is all this? We didn't even order anything yet."

It was supposed to be a gift from a wealthy client, someone that had hired him via the company he worked through for fitness training. Though with how many times he had to help correct her positioning, sometimes physically moving her to the right place, he was slowly starting to get the idea that what she wanted him around for was less for fitness and more for something else. This "gift" was just more evidence of their intentions being less than pure, and Zack almost turned around when he saw how fancy it was, but...
...well, free food was free food.
He had already been seated when he noticed Rufus just kind of... pouring himself over on to the balcony seating area. Curious, and a little worried the president of ShinRa might accidentally pour himself over the side, he got up and went after him, only to end up with a pleasant surprise.
"So this is where you two went!" he exclaimed happily, giving Sephiroth and Angeal a bright and sunny grin. Sheesh, the two of them had been so hush hush about where they were going, he thought it was something serious. "Geeze, you could have just said you were catching a bite together."

Because of course he did.
It took every ounce of willpower Sephiroth had to not groan aloud and rest his head against his hands in frustration, instead he closed his eyes for a moment to pray for patience, before opening them again to catch Angeal’s gaze.
He attempted to send a silent plea for assistance, but wasn’t sure if Angeal understood before he moved his gaze to the unwelcome company.
“The champagne is very generous of you Rufus, but I’m afraid you intruded on a private meal.” The implied ‘Get. Out.” was silent, but very present in Sephiroth’s tone.

Because what made a date better than a slightly drunk President Shinra crashing your dinner with a $2,000 bottle of champagne? "It's the least I could do, I just wanted to make sure things were going alright."
Yes, Rufus was going to regret all of this in the morning when he's sober but right now he doesn't seem to notice Sephiroth's tone as he took a drink of champagne, distracted when Zack joins them.
"I think they wanted this to be a special occasion, Zack. I was just sharing a gift with them to make it special but you should try some. Apparently it's some stupidly expensive, best in the world champagne," he offers as he holds his glass up to Zack.

"Listen, Zack. It's not that kind of dinner--" He quickly says after catching the look Sephiroth gave him. Had this been any other time, Angeal would've welcomed the pup but right now this isn't. It's bad enough that Rufus is doing his best to kill the mood.
"Sephiroth and I were hoping to do a little bit of catching-up alone, in private." He states sternly before casting Rufus glance.
"The champagne is appreciated and all but this was a private dinner for two." Angeal all but grumbles like an angry bear. Even his legendary patience has limits and it's showing.
"Is the champagne any good, Seph?" Angeal asks before reaching over to pour himself a glass.
