What's a little breaking and entering between friends?

WHO: Tim Drake, Bart Allen, Conner Kent
WHERE: Bart and Kon's place
WHEN: April 6
WHAT: Tim hasn't visited Bart and Conner's place yet. Time to remedy the situation.
WARNINGS: Probably none

Tim hadn't been to visit Bart a (and Conner, who he only really knows in passing) yet at their place in Heropa, and maybe most people wouldn't enter through a window, but as far as Tim is concerned, Bart knows him pretty well by now. If he didn't want him to come in through the window, it would be trapped. It's not trapped, so he lets himself in.

They have a pretty cool game setup, which he definitely wants to check out, but--even better--a snack fridge.

"It's...a bit like when you and a bunch of friends get together and watch one of you play a game, only there's a few thousand of those 'friends' making comments about your playstyle and stuff. I mostly do it because it's a place where people can ask some of those annoying questions they try to get you to answer on the streets and you might actually give them one, but safer distance, and I have some good chat moderators filtering out the really creepy shit," Bart tries to explain.

"It also helps pay for stuff and I can put the rest towards different charities."

Tim mostly tries to avoid the fame and notoriety that comes with being an imPort--he's not that comfortable in the spotlight--but he's aware of it, and there have definitely been times people have been weird about it. But what Bart's describing actually sounds pretty fun.

"Okay, well, that actually sounds pretty cool."

Kon steps in, back from a brief trip out to put out a fire, and grins as he sees them.

"Sounds like we have an agreement. Welcome to the party."

He extends his hand to the younger man.

"Nice to meet you officially." Tim shakes his hand. Should he apologize for breaking in? Maybe. Does he? No.

"He's complaining about my snacking choices," Bart said, nodding at the butterscotch pudding in question as an aside to Kon. "You'd think someone trained by the world's greatest detective would appreciate a few contingency plans.

"But on the plus side, apparently the security on our place passes muster."

Kon snerked. "That reminds me, I just brought home more snacks, and more groceries. The clerks at our local are beginning to know my name. I am amused."

He shook his head.

"Good to know. With how this universe is, we are bound to need it, sooner or later."

"I appreciate contingency. I don't appreciate butterscotch." He says about the pudding he has actually just finished. He tosses the empty cup into the trash. He agrees that they're probably going to need their security. No matter how good they are and how friendly things are toward imports in general... security is always important. Even if you aren't a secret-loving freak the way the Batcrew are.

"This is a pretty cool place."

"Try not to start any catfights, Super-stud," Bart teased. "I like that place, too."

Bart gives Tim a mock-glare. "If you don't appreciate it, don't eat it." Then he relents a little. "You should have seen some of the places they kept showing us. Picture windows and open concepts. I felt like I was in a shooting gallery. On the wrong side of the divider."

I do my best, Speedy. The blonde, Sara, said to say hi to you, the cute one." The teasing is gentle, if there.

Then he nods and shakes his head.

"We went through far too many houses before they paid attention to what we were asking for. Solid walls, good foundations and no damn low and large windows."

He does not swear a lot, but that was... that was frustrating.
