happy accident #345235
WHO: Carol Danvers, Xellos
WHERE: USAF base in [insert state idc geography is fake it's rp]
WHEN: March
WHAT: Carol has to put up with this thing now
WARNINGS: ?? ?? ? ? prob nah??
"Aaah, my!"
Sometimes, just for funsies, Xellos opts to teleporting at-random, leaving his destination in the hands of whatever fates are still around after those other fates packed up and left. Rarely is he disappointed, because rarely are his expectations high enough to be disappointed!
In this case, he's found himself in the hangar housing some very impressive machines! Airplanes, right? Humans really outdo themselves with big, bulky machinery in this world...
Like some kind of alien tourist, he picks up his phone and takes a picture, utterly disregarding the big, red sign with big, white letters that say RESTRICTED ACCESS: AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY within the frame of his shot.
"What a serious-looking profile, mm...!"

"Who's there? Rook, is that you?"
no subject
"Hah! It really is just a huge hunk of metal, isn't it?"
no subject
"Sir, are you authorized to be here? This is a closed base."
Carol doesn't work about needing to call security. She's pretty sure she can take him, if need be.
no subject
Xellos stops, turning around, looking perplexed to even be addressed. After a beat, he smiles, waving, his tone chipper to the point of airheadedness.
"Well, hello! Haha, I guess if it was so closed-off, I wouldn't be here, now would I?"
no subject
Who the heck is this guy? He looks like an Air Force base is about the last place he's supposed to be.
"How did you get in here? Did they allow you through the gate at entry?"
no subject
What, like it's hard?
no subject
Carol strides over to him, her step authoritative and confident.
"Well, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. This part of the base isn't open to civilians."
no subject
This place doesn't play by Lord Ruby-Eye's rules, and so Xellos finds he has much more to learn.
Fine by him!
He gives an understanding nod. "Mm, I see. Well, then I'll just leave in a bit! No sense in going now that I'm already here, right?"
no subject
"Why don't I show you around? Give you a guided tour."
A tour of everything in a straight line between here and the exit.
no subject
He tilts his head thoughtfully, bouncing his staff off his shoulder while he considers it.
"Well, having an expert explain this place would be helpful, yes...so long as it's not cutting into your work? I imagine you're very busy!"
no subject
"Oh, no. I was just about to take my break, anyway. You've got perfect timing."
no subject
"Ah, but I've already been that way. I want to see what's over this way!"
He points back toward the interior.
no subject
"There's nothing interesting over there. Just some boring planes. Let's go this way."
no subject
After a thoughtful click of his tongue, he vanishes -- the space where he was now cold and empty. At the same time, he has reappeared by one of the doors leading further into the complex, rubbing his chin at the AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY sign above and the badge reader beside it.
"'ID required,' huh? It sure must be important..."
He's going to jiggle the handle anyway.
