CATCH ALL FOR FEBRUARY // ALL OPEN
A // UNIVERSITY // OPEN
Being transported to that other world delayed classes … once more … but at least the university understood it was against her will and let her have her job back.
Feel free to find Jane in her classroom, pop in on a class, catch her on a lunch or coffee break, or find her in her office working on lesson plans and grading. She might even be working on some live demonstrations with gravity! If you get trapped in the gravitational pull, she apologizes and will work on refining the equations a little more next time.
B // STUDYING MAGIC // OPEN
At the library (pick any one, she can use the porter without restriction once more), Jane has selected a number of books on magic. Anything from mythology to the literature of magic to some actual serious scholarly research into it. There is one particular book, though, that is just out of reach on a top shelf … across from where she currently is … on a ladder.
We all know where this is going.
C // TAKING A WALK // OPEN
Sometimes, Jane just really needed to clear her head.
Sometimes, that meant walking around her neighborhood in the middle of the night without any real purpose. Where she ended up didn’t matter. It was what she thought along the way. Of course, sometimes, that might include some ranting about the universe and paperwork or students being lazy after all her efforts to help or stupid songs getting stuck in her head.
She really needs to apologize to her neighbors.
D // WILD CARD
I probably forgot a plot somewhere, so feel free to put that here! Feel free to do that even if we didn’t plot anything!

"Are you doing research?"

Despite not having the title or any notion of what Jane might be looking for, she looks up to the shelf she'd been reaching for and narrows her eyes to squint slightly at the titles up there.
"Well, if you move the ladder, you can get it easily."
no subject
Wow. She would have not been able to make that reach at all. What was she thinking?
"What brings you to the library?"
no subject
Oh, does that make her sound too much like a bookworm? Does she really mind if it does?
"There's a project I keep trying to find my feet with, in between all the things that happen to us here."
no subject
"Yeah? I think you mentioned a project the last time we spoke. What are you looking into?"
no subject
She isn't in the right section for this, but she'd been heading for it when she'd seen Jane engaged in her dangerous reaching.
"I nearly found myself under a car within two minutes of walking out of the door. And the amount of children who seem to end up here with no life skills at all is unacceptable. I want to do something about it."
no subject
There should be plenty of other resources too. Maybe she could run a life skills workshop in the library once a week, encourage people to come here after being Ported in and instead of going to the Swear Ins!
no subject
She huffs out a sigh, planting her hands on her hips for a moment.
"And then when I do, I find they're no longer here, which is another problem entirely."
no subject
Who left, who stayed ... who came back with no memories of having been there. It was a mess, so it was a wonder the government was able to help.
"Maybe you should reach out on the network some more, see if there is anyone with more influence in this world who would like to help you. Maybe the Wayne Foundation?"
Batman might no longer be there, but what he left behind still was.

Maybe she's right, but Jane has found herself frequently overwhelmed by the technology at her fingertips here. The last time she said anything about this, she got so many responses she could barely keep on top of them all, and no doubt said some very foolish things.
"Would anyone really have reason to listen to anything I said?"
no subject
It was hard to keep up with everything, but she was sure Jane would adjust to it if she were given some more time.
"There's a lot of people who would want to help, who do care. You just have to get them coordinated and on the same page."
no subject
"But I do believe that there are a lot of people here who want to help. And a lot who could benefit from that help. It's just... such a mammoth task."
thank you for your patience!
