"It's me, it's me, I was very worried," he says. He does look very worried on the video, his eyes bright and concerned. "The ceremony--it was fine. It happened. We were attacked by shadows at the end, so I did not have time to think that you were not there until after it was all over. It was then I knew that something must be wrong."

Sizhui is very reliable. In no world would he simply not show up if he had planned to.

"Those creatures? Do you mean shadows? Did they hurt you very badly?"

He does not respond to the last comment because his answer does not need be stated. Of course he wants to be where Sizhui is also. Even if he could not, he'd make it so that he could. The video shows him already moving. There is nothing to gather beyond his sword; everything else is in the pouch at his waist. The door to his apartment shuts behind him and he's on the street. "Were you alone when they creatures caught you?"

"You were attacked at the ceremony? Ah, I should have come to your ceremony anyway as soon as I could. It was a very important day for you and I would have definitely come to your aid to help. Yes, I got attacked and I was alone. I got hurt. I was outnumbered and overwhelmed. It was an unexpected attack. But I feel better, so I'll be on my way shortly."

Eventually, the nurse unhooked the iv tube from his arm. After another hour of rest, the doctor said he's free to go and he's discharged from the hospital. It was late afternoon when Sizhui is able to leave and he's on his way to find him, waiting for him at the agreed coordinates.

At a far distance, down the block, Sizhui is dressed in a familiar snow-white robe. When Jingyi is coming closer and he sees him, Sizhui waves to him.

"Do not apologize!" Jingyi says fiercely before he says his goodbyes. "I will be right there!"

He will say everything else he has to say to Sizhui in person.

It takes him some time to get to where they agreed to meet. This amount of time is far too long for Jingyi, and he is impatient to see Sizhui, but it does mean that Sizhui is out of the hospital and waiting for him by the time he gets to the meeting point.

"Sizhui!" he shouts even though he is far down the block. He tosses the Lan rules out immediately and runs as fast as he can to get to Sizhui. Once he reaches Sizhui, he skids to a stop so that he does not hurt him and tries to grab him into a hug. "I know you are fine, but I was so worried!"

"Jing Yi, hey!" With a laugh, he hugs back just as fierce. "As you can see, I'm all right." He's quite whole and well. It helps to have a golden core as an internal power to help speed up the healing.

Giving a hearty pat on the back in the hug, arms loosen, and almost in an apology. "As you can see, I'm all right. Everything is going to be fine. I'm sorry to worry you."

Jingyi squeezes Sizhui hard for a long moment, then steps back and plants one hand on either of his shoulders. He gives him a small shake and does not seem to want to let go. It is like when they first met in this world and he was afraid that Sizhui would disappear.

That fear came true, even if for only a little while. "I was right to be worried," he scolds. "You were in the hospital. Do you promise you are not very injured? I looked everywhere for you, with Hanguang-Jun's help, and I did not find anything."

He examines Sizhui much closer, suspiciously trying to see if his looks pale or is favoring any injuries. He seems fine, but.

"I do not want to lose you," he tells his best friend bluntly. He is not the kind of person who holds back this kind of truth. "I am sorry I was not there to help."

Sizhui is quite solid and warm, he is quite whole. He senses his fear and Sizhui wants to allay them by just being here for his friends and family. He remains calm and humble when he was scolded by him.

"I promised that I'm okay. The doctors here are very skilled. I have some bruises and scratches by those strange shadow creatures. I do not know how they appeared. They just simply show up and started attacking citizens. So I wanted to help to protect the people."

Shaking his head, "I don't want to lose anyone either." With a sigh, seeing how upset his best friend is. "Ai-yah, Jing Yi. I'm here. We faced stronger monsters back home, but we have to work together and look out for each other."

"Yes, of course, we must," Jingyi agrees immediately, calming a little. "We will stick together and do our best. I just did not think that this place would be so dangerous. You have had something leap out at you, and I have also had something to fight twice and it has not even been that long since I arrived."

He lets out his breath and pats Sizhui's shoulders. "There is nothing you can do if there are people you need to protect, I know, but! You need to take care of yourself! What would I do if you were to have something horrible happen to you?"

Now that the junior team is properly reunited. "If you fight twice as much and harder than me than you'll be stronger than me. I think that's progress. It just shows how strong you truly are on your own."

With that settled. "However, I truly regret not being at your swear-in ceremony and fighting by your side. Still, congratulations. I think we're good now and I'm here fight by your side once more."

At his question, "Just let Hanguang-Jun know immediately."
