[OPEN] Settling In
WHO: Lan Jingyi and OTA :)
WHERE: Maurtia Falls #006 & Elsewhere
WHEN: The Month of February
WHAT: Jingyi's got people to meet and places to go.
WARNINGS: Will update as needed.
Moving In
(Open to Jingyi's new roommates. :))
Jingyi is not used to the architecture of this strange new world and he's thrown a little by the townhouse he is apparently living in for the foreseeable future. Still, he is meant to stay here, and so he finds his way inside to the bottom floor and then simply...stops. He underestimated how different this would be.
Taking everything in with wide eyes, he finds himself observed by someone...not in robes and a headband, so he can tell very little about them. Immediately, a smile springs to his face. "Hello! Do you live here as well?"
Chicken Dance
The chicken costume is very large and very warm, though the overcast days in Maurtia mean that this is not an entirely bad thing. Still, he encourages people to go to eat chicken by standing on a corner of two streets and flapping his arms at them. It is very much not dignified, and Jingyi takes a well-deserved break from flapping at people to sit outside the back of ChickenYEET! and take off his head. The breeze is very nice, and in chasing it, he has made it so that he is not very well hidden.
Unfortunately, the breeze also has a mind of its own. His chicken head is caught by a sudden gust and flies its way out of the alley. All that is left is for Jingyi to chase after it. "Hey, come back!"
[ooc: poke me and I'll whip up a custom starter. :)]

Without hesitation, Sizhui sprinted down the street, chasing after the rolling chicken head. The scene may wager a few stares from the surrounding crowd as they're recognizable as imPorts. Some of the natives think that this is a cute rare moment, so cameras start rolling and pictures snapping as the leader of the juniors does this simple heroic deed for his best friend. Sizhui pays them no mind, having his photo taken or being recorded.

The spectacle he makes is true ridiculousness, and where Sizhui is heroic, Jingyi finds laughter following him instead. He hears a horrible noise of ripping fabric, though, and he stops frozen in the middle of the sidewalk and can only watch as Sizhui catches up to the chicken head a good way further down the block.
He does not dare move now that he has torn something, one of the things that he had been instructed never to do.
no subject
With the head in his hands, he comes back to Jing Yi with a smile on his face. Even though during the running, his costume suit got ripped up and torn, Sizhui pays the laughter of the onlooking crowd no mind.
"Jing Yi. Look. I caught it." Presenting the head. "For you." A pause, a beat when he sense something is wrong and his friend looks upset. "Wait, what's wrong? Is everything all right?"
no subject
With his feathery chicken wings over his hands, he pats at the suit, trying to find the rip. He thinks it is somewhere around the legs, perhaps his knee, but it is around the back of his leg and he cannot see the full damage. "Help me, help me. Tell me how bad it is. Is it something that you think we can fix?"
no subject
"You ripped it...?" Sizhui circles around his friend to find the source of the rip and it is indeed at the back of the legs. "I'm not good at sewing, but if we can find a local tailor in this city, I think they could fix it."
no subject
He might be able to. The hole is not large. Just enough to have made a terrible noise when it happened. But it also might get bigger.
Even as he is stressing over the lack of time to fix the hole, he remembers that this is not where Sizhui would usually be. "Oh, why are you here? Did you come to see me?"
no subject
Sizhui noticed he is stricken. He remembers him as more dignified than this back home. "Why must you dance? Is there anyway we can reason with whoever is in charge to simply let you go?"
After some thought, "I'll go with you. I have time."
no subject
He then beckons Sizhui to lead him into the alleyway to the back door of the restaurant. Inside is his boss. "I do not think the boss will keep me if I ask to go. What do you patrol for?"
no subject
He snorts, "I'll tell him we patrol for justice." But then Sizhui has a sudden flash of an idea before he opens the door. An idea to set him free. "I have an idea. I'll tell him you're sick and you have a stomachache and you made a mess of your costume, and I'm here to take you home."
Turning to Jing Yi. Sizhui with his mischief streak. "You know how to act sick, do you? If you can pull it off, I'm sure he'll believe us and he'll set you free."
